More often it simply doesn't match the device: a camera stops recording halfway through a 4K clip, a Switch 2 won't load games, or a laptop's M.2 slot won't take the drive. This page has Kodak USB drives, microSD, SD, CFexpress cards and SSDs, plus microSD cards Reolink and SpotCam make for their own cameras, all Hong Kong licensed. V10 is usually enough for 1080p; 4K generally needs V30 or higher; for high-bitrate 4K or 8K, follow your camera manual on V60 or V90.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eA1 and A2: random read\/write performance. A2 opens apps faster on phones and consoles that support it; for cameras, the V rating matters more.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eUHS-I and UHS-II: UHS-II cards have a second row of contacts, and you only get the higher speed if both the device and the card reader support it. In a UHS-I-only device they still work, at UHS-I speed.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eChoosing by use\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003ePhones, photo frames and everyday photos\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eKodak Premium (V10) and Ultra (V30) come in microSD and SD sizes and cover everyday photos, 1080p video and digital photo frames. For 4K on a phone, choose V30 or higher. Kodak Endurance cards are designed for long recording. Reolink and SpotCam also sell their own microSD cards for their cameras. Maximum supported capacity varies by camera, so check the camera page.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003e4K video and RAW bursts on a camera\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eKodak Ultra Pro cards are UHS-II: V60 and V90 in SD, V60 in microSD. To get the full speed, your camera and card reader must both support UHS-II. If your camera takes CFexpress, Kodak offers Type A and Type B from 128GB.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eNintendo Switch 2: microSD Express only\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNintendo states that Switch 2 is only compatible with microSD Express cards. A standard microSD card can only be used to import screenshots and videos from the original Switch; it can't save or load digital games. Kodak microSD Express comes in 128GB, 256GB and 512GB.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eComputers: USB drives and SSDs\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Kodak K103 is a USB 3.2 drive that also works in older USB 2.0 ports, just more slowly. The X200 is a USB-C portable SSD that needs no installation. The X250S is M.2 SATA and the X300S is M.2 NVMe: many newer laptops have NVMe-only M.2 slots, so check before buying the X250S. Is the card faulty?\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eNot necessarily. Many cameras need a new card, or one moved from another device, to be formatted in the device before use. Formatting erases everything, so back up first.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eMy older device won't read a card above 64GB. Why?\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eCards above 32GB are SDXC and usually use exFAT, and some older devices only support 32GB or less. Check the manual for the maximum size, or WhatsApp us the model number.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eCan a microSD Express card be used in an ordinary device?\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eGenerally yes. Nintendo confirms microSD Express cards work in the original Switch, but you won't get Express speeds in a standard microSD slot.
