LG 97-Inch OLED evo AI G6 4K Smart TV

The 97-inch G6 is the largest size of LG's 2026 G6, and LG Hong Kong publishes it with a different specification from the smaller sets. It runs at 120Hz native with VRR up to 120Hz rather than 165Hz, uses Brightness Booster instead of the Ultra version, and LG limits its premium anti-reflection certification and ClearMR 10000 to the smaller sizes. What stays the same is the alpha 11 Gen3 processor, 60W 4.2-channel sound, webOS 26 and a DTMB tuner. The panel is only 28.2 mm deep, but the set weighs 57.0 kg and ships in a 2.37-metre, 95 kg carton.

120Hz and Brightness Booster: what changes at 97 inches

LG Hong Kong's own footnotes spell out the differences. The 55 to 83-inch G6 get Brightness Booster Ultra, which LG rates at up to 3.9 times the peak brightness of a conventional OLED; the 97-inch is listed with Brightness Booster, and LG gives it no multiplier or nit figure. VRR tops out at 120Hz instead of 165Hz, and LG's premium anti-reflection certification and ClearMR 10000 apply only to the smaller sizes. The 97-inch still carries UL-verified Perfect Black and Perfect Color, self-lit pixels with Pixel Dimming, and Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG.

Delivery: a 2.37-metre, 95 kg carton

Check the route with us before you order. LG lists the carton at 2365 x 1530 x 335 mm with a gross weight of 95.0 kg, and many Hong Kong lifts cannot take a box that long or that tall, even on the diagonal. Measure the lift car including its diagonal, every door, corridor turns and any stairs, and send us the figures first so we can confirm the route with you. The set itself is 2155 mm wide and weighs 57.0 kg without a stand, so it takes several people to carry. Installation is available as a paid service.

Wall mounting, and why the stand is not listed

LG Hong Kong lists only the AI Magic Remote and the power cable as included accessories, and names no stand or bracket for the 97-inch. The spec sheet quotes 'with stand' figures (1628 mm tall, 1658 x 580 mm footprint), but LG Australia states this size is supplied for wall mounting with the stand sold separately. Plan for a wall: the VESA pattern is 600 x 400, the panel is 28.2 mm deep, and 57 kg needs a solid concrete or brick wall. Plasterboard false walls must be checked first. Confirm the box contents with us before ordering.

Same processor, sound and connections as the smaller G6

The alpha 11 AI Processor 4K Gen3 with Dual AI Engine handles upscaling, Dynamic Tone Mapping Ultra and AI HDR Remastering. Sound is 60W over a 4.2-channel down-firing layout with Dolby Atmos and a virtual 11.1.2 up-mix, the same figures LG lists for the 65 and 77-inch. There are four HDMI inputs supporting 4K 120Hz, VRR, ALLM, QMS and QFT, with eARC on HDMI 2, plus three USB 2.0 ports, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. webOS 26 runs the smart side, and the built-in tuner receives DTMB terrestrial and DVB-C cable broadcasts.

Warranty and delivery

This is Hong Kong licensed stock carrying the manufacturer's Hong Kong warranty. The exact warranty term is stated on the warranty card supplied with the set. Viewing is available by appointment at our Kwun Tong showroom.

For a set this size, delivery with tabletop installation is HK$1,500, or delivery with wall mounting is HK$2,000 with the bracket included. Collection at the Kwun Tong showroom is free, and kerbside drop-off (we bring it to street level) is HK$200. Walk-up buildings without a lift add HK$100 per floor, with no cap. Discovery Bay adds HK$500. Cheung Chau and Lamma Island orders are delivered to the Central pier for self-collection, without installation. Before ordering, please tell us the lift size, the door and corridor width, and whether the TV wall is solid or plasterboard. Installation is a paid service and is not included in the price of the set.
