Stanmore III sits in the middle of Marshall's three mains-powered speakers: 350mm wide and 4.25kg, so it fits a desk, a TV bench or a kitchen shelf without dominating the room. It uses a two-way driver layout with the woofer and tweeters driven by separate amplifiers, which suits desk listening or a small living room where it is the main system.
Key features
Two-way drivers, three independent Class D amps
A single 50W Class D amplifier drives the woofer, while each of the two tweeters gets its own 15W Class D amplifier. The tweeters are angled outward, so stereo separation holds up even when you are not sitting dead centre. The bass-reflex cabinet gives a stated frequency response of 45–20,000 Hz and a maximum SPL of 97 dB at 1 metre.
Physical knobs on the top panel
The top panel carries source, volume, bass and treble knobs plus play/pause, track skip and a power switch. Adding a little bass or pulling back the treble is a matter of reaching over and turning a knob rather than unlocking a phone. It is the control layout Marshall has kept across the mains-powered range, and it is genuinely faster in daily use.
Bluetooth 5.2 plus wired inputs
Connectivity is Bluetooth 5.2 with a stated 10m range, and the unit is Ready for Bluetooth LE Audio. Wired sources are covered by a 3.5mm input and an RCA input, so a turntable with a built-in phono stage, a CD player or a computer audio interface all connect directly. Note there is no HDMI on Stanmore III.
Marshall Bluetooth app and Placement Correction
The Marshall Bluetooth app (iOS and Android) handles EQ, Placement Correction and over-the-air firmware updates. If the speaker ends up close to a wall or tucked into a bookshelf, Placement Correction tames the low-frequency boost that tight positioning causes.

Who it's for
- Anyone who wants one speaker to handle desk listening and has outgrown computer speakers.
- Owners of a turntable or CD player who need real RCA and 3.5mm inputs, not Bluetooth only.
- Listeners who prefer turning a knob to opening an app for bass and treble.
- Who it isn't for: anyone planning to make this their main TV speaker. Stanmore III has no HDMI, so a TV has to go in over 3.5mm or RCA, and a single stereo cabinet will not deliver a surround presentation. Look at Woburn III if HDMI matters.

FAQ
Can I connect Stanmore III to a TV?
Yes, but only over 3.5mm or RCA, because Stanmore III has no HDMI input. An analogue connection can introduce lip-sync drift on some TVs, so if the speaker is mainly for films, Woburn III with its HDMI input is the more direct route.
Can I pair two Stanmore III units as left and right channels?
Stanmore III is already a stereo speaker with left and right tweeters in one cabinet. The official specifications do not list a true left/right pairing mode, so plan on using it as a single unit.
How does the international version differ from a local-warranty set?
Features, firmware and Marshall Bluetooth app support are identical, and OTA updates work normally. The difference is the service channel: this is the international version, we cover faulty-unit exchange within 10 days, every unit is 100% brand new, and you can book a viewing at our Kwun Tong shop before buying.
