Portable Speaker

Bluetooth Speakers in Hong Kong — JBL PartyBox, Portables and Party Sound

This collection runs from a $290 speaker that clips to a backpack up to an 800W PartyBox 720. Every one of them is a portable Bluetooth unit: nothing to wire in, nothing to install, pick it up and go.

Twelve of the fifteen are JBL; the other two are Samsung Sound Towers. Looking for something to plug into a television instead? Those live in the Soundbar collection, not here.

Three tiers, by how you'll use it

Grab-and-go ($290–$1,040) Clip 4 Eco, Clip 5, GO 4, Flip 7, Charge 6 — shower, campsite, bike ride; all waterproof. The Charge 6 doubles as a power bank for your phone
Small party ($2,098–$3,180) PartyBox Encore Essential 2, Encore 2, PartyBox 120, On-The-Go 2, Samsung MX-ST40F — the size for a flat party, a barbecue, a rooftop gathering
Full size ($3,580–$7,499) Boombox 4, PartyBox Stage 320, Samsung ST50F 240W, PartyBox 520, PartyBox 720 (800W) — only worth it if the space is big enough. The Stage 320 and 520 have wheels

Want to sing?

Three of these ship with wireless microphones — plug in, switch on, start singing. No mixer needed:

For extra microphones or a standalone wireless mic system, see the microphone collection.

Bluetooth speaker or soundbar — they are not the same job

What it's for Music, parties, karaoke, taking outdoors Films and sport — fixing television sound
Where it sits Anywhere; runs on battery Fixed under the TV, mains powered
Connecting to a TV Bluetooth works, but the lag ruins films HDMI eARC, no lag
Dialogue clarity Not what it's tuned for Voice-tuned by design

If the goal is louder television with clearer dialogue, what you want is a soundbar, not one of these.

Three things to settle before you choose

  1. Where will it live? Outdoors, camping, the shower — grab-and-go, all waterproof. A fixed spot at home — the bigger units earn their price
  2. How many people? Two or three friends, a Flip 7 or Charge 6 is plenty. Fifteen people, start at the PartyBox 120
  3. Karaoke? If yes, pick one of the three that ships with a microphone and skip the hunt for a compatible one

On battery: the small units run roughly 10–14 hours, the Boombox 4 up to 34. The large PartyBox models drain much faster with the light show running — keep them plugged in for long sessions.

Frequently asked questions

Can I connect a Bluetooth speaker to my TV?

You can pair it, but Bluetooth introduces lag, so lips and audio drift apart during films. Fine for music; for films and sport use a soundbar.

Can two of them play together?

Yes. JBL units of the same generation pair for stereo or party play, and PartyBox models can be chained. Across generations (older Connect+ versus newer Auracast) compatibility is not guaranteed — WhatsApp us before ordering if you plan to pair specific models.

How waterproof are they?

The Clip, GO, Flip, Charge and Boombox lines carry water resistance ratings and handle the shower, poolside and rain. Most large PartyBox models are splash-resistant only — do not treat them as waterproof.

Can I hear one before buying?

The Kwun Tong showroom holds stock for viewing by appointment. It is a stockroom rather than a demo space, so listening conditions are limited.

What is the warranty?

Speakers are covered by 10-day faulty exchange. See the FAQ for details.
