If you want one cabinet to cover living-room music and TV sound, Woburn III is the only Marshall in this range with an HDMI input. It runs a three-way driver layout with five separate amplifiers and reaches down to 35Hz, and at 400 × 317 × 203mm and 7.45kg it is large enough that you need to plan where it goes.

Three-way drivers, five Class D amplifiers
The woofer is driven by a 90W Class D amplifier, while two midrange drivers and two tweeters each get their own 15W Class D amplifier — five amplification channels in total. The bass-reflex cabinet covers 35–20,000 Hz, a full 10Hz lower than the smaller models in the range, with a maximum SPL of 100.5 dB at 1 metre. Dedicated midrange drivers keep vocals and guitar body from being swamped by the bass.
HDMI input for direct TV connection
Alongside 3.5mm and RCA, Woburn III has an HDMI input, which is what separates it from the rest of the line. Connecting a TV needs no adapter, and lip-sync and volume handling are more predictable than over an analogue cable. If the plan is music by day and films at night, this input is the deciding difference.
Dynamic Loudness and Placement Correction
Dynamic Loudness adjusts tonal balance as the volume changes, so quiet listening does not collapse into thin bass and dull treble. Placement Correction in the Marshall Bluetooth app compensates for a speaker pushed against a wall, into a cabinet or into a corner. Together they make late-night low-volume listening usable rather than a compromise.
Panel controls with app fine-tuning
The top panel has source, volume, bass and treble, play/pause, a skip knob and a power switch, so ordinary use never requires a phone. The Marshall Bluetooth app adds EQ adjustment, Placement Correction and over-the-air firmware updates when you want to go further.

FAQ
With HDMI to the TV, can Woburn III replace a soundbar?
It depends what you want from it. Over HDMI it will generally out-perform an entry-level soundbar on tonal weight and dynamics, and it doubles as a music system. But it is a single stereo cabinet, so it will not produce multi-channel surround effects.
What is the biggest difference from Stanmore III?
Three things: Woburn III adds a dedicated midrange pair (three-way instead of two-way), extends the low end from 45Hz down to 35Hz, and adds an HDMI input. It is also considerably larger and heavier, at 7.45kg against 4.25kg.
Will the bass be too heavy against a wall?
Any bass-reflex speaker gains low-frequency energy near a wall. Woburn III has Placement Correction in the Marshall Bluetooth app for wall and cabinet positions, and the front-panel bass knob lets you pull it back directly.
