The TUF Gaming K3 Gen II is a wired 97-key keyboard that keeps a number pad in a compact body. It uses optical-mechanical RGB switches rated for 100 million presses, is IP57 rated, and comes with Blue (clicky) or Red (linear) switches.
Key features
- IP57 protection: ASUS rates it IP57, so it can handle immersion in pure water up to 1 m for 30 minutes, and the top cover detaches for cleaning.
- Optical-mechanical switches: Red switches are linear with 35 g actuation force; Blue switches are clicky with 55 g tactile force. Both have 1.8 mm actuation and 4.0 mm travel.
- Quieter typing: A silicone gasket mount and dampening foam reduce vibration and pinging for a softer feel.
