The ROG Azoth Extreme Edition 20 is the collector's version of ROG's flagship 75% keyboard, made for the brand's 20th anniversary. It keeps the Azoth Extreme hardware people buy it for: a carbon-fibre positioning plate, an adjustable gasket mount with hard and soft modes, a 1.47-inch colour OLED touchscreen with a three-way knob, and 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth and wired connections. On top of that it adds a gold-on-black finish, translucent keycaps, NX Edition 20 switches and a 24K-gold-plated nameplate. The ROG Polling Rate Booster is in the box for 8000 Hz reporting.
Key features
20th anniversary design
The keyboard uses an exclusive gold-on-black colour scheme with translucent black keycaps and ROG 20th anniversary details. A commemorative 24K-gold-plated nameplate sits on the underside, and a matching silicone wrist rest with an aluminium-alloy base is included.
Tunable typing feel
A carbon-fibre positioning plate, PORON foam, a PORON switch pad and a silicone pad shape the sound and feel. A paddle switch changes the adjustable gasket mount between a firm Hard mode for gaming and a cushioned Soft mode for long typing sessions.
Hot-swappable NX Edition 20 switches
The transparent NX Edition 20 switches keep the feel of ROG NX Snow or NX Storm, with a walled stem and factory lubrication. They are hot-swappable, and a switch puller plus three spare NX switches come in the box. ASUS advises switching the keyboard off before swapping switches.
OLED screen, knob and tri-mode wireless
The OLED touchscreen shows connection, Caps Lock, battery, media info, CPU temperature or your own animations, and the knob and side button handle quick settings. ROG SpeedNova 2.4 GHz is rated at up to 1,600 hours with RGB and OLED off, Bluetooth pairs up to three devices, and wired USB lets you charge while you play.

FAQ
What is the difference between Snow and Storm?
Both are NX Edition 20 switches that keep the feel of ROG NX switches: Snow is linear (smooth, no bump), Storm is clicky with a tactile bump. Choose one when ordering; the switches are hot-swappable later.
Do I need to buy anything extra for 8000 Hz?
No. The ROG Polling Rate Booster is included in the box and enables 8000 Hz in wired and 2.4 GHz wireless modes.
Does it work with a Mac?
Yes. ASUS lists macOS 10.11 or later as supported, and a macOS mode remaps the keys for Mac use. Armoury Crate is Windows software, so on a Mac use the web-based Gear Link for settings.
