The SoundLink Revolve+ II is the larger of Bose's two Revolve portable Bluetooth speakers, built around an omnidirectional acoustic deflector that pushes sound out in every direction rather than at one listening position. True 360-degree sound
The omnidirectional acoustic deflector spreads output evenly around the speaker, so nobody in the group ends up sitting in a dead spot. Inside, a highly efficient transducer works with dual passive radiators, and it is those radiators that give a cabinet this size real low-end weight. That combination is what makes the Revolve+ II a better fit for a table in the centre of a room than for a bookshelf against a wall.
Up to 17 hours, and IP55 protection
The rechargeable lithium-ion battery runs up to 17 hours per charge, with real figures varying by volume and content. Charging is over Micro-USB with the supplied USB power supply, and a full charge takes roughly four hours when the speaker is not playing. The IP55 rating covers dust and splashing water; Bose explicitly rates it for poolside splashes, washing the car and kitchen spray, but it is not made to be submerged.
Party Mode and Stereo Mode
Pair it with a second compatible Bose Bluetooth speaker and Party Mode plays the same source through both units for wider coverage. Switch to Stereo Mode and one speaker takes the left channel while the other takes the right. Compatible models include the SoundLink Flex, SoundLink Color II, SoundLink Micro, and the SoundLink Revolve and Revolve+ families; SimpleSync also lets you group it with a Bose Home Speaker.
Connections, calls and voice
Wireless connection is Bluetooth only, with a wireless range of about 9 m (30 ft) that walls and other wireless devices will shorten. Alongside Bluetooth there is a 3.5 mm stereo audio input, and NFC can be used to speed up pairing. A built-in microphone handles phone calls through the multi-function button, and the same button calls up Siri or Google voice commands from your phone.

FAQ
Will it survive getting wet? IP55 covers dust and splashing water, and Bose states it tested beyond the required parameters for this rating. Poolside splashes, car washing and kitchen spray are all fine. It is not a waterproof speaker, so do not submerge it or leave it out in sustained heavy rain.
Can two of them be used as a left and right pair? Yes. In the Bose Connect app, choose Stereo Mode to assign one speaker to the left channel and one to the right, or Party Mode if you only want wider coverage. Both units must be Bose SoundLink models from the supported list; other brands cannot be grouped.
How long does charging take, and can I play while charging? A full charge takes about four hours when the speaker is idle, and longer if you keep playing. The port is Micro-USB and the USB power supply and cable are included, so if you want to use your own charger make sure it is a Micro-USB cable rather than USB-C.
