Measure first: 2.23 metres wide and 58.9kg
This is not simply a big television — it is a delivery that needs planning. Before you order, confirm these:

2.23 metres wide. A typical Hong Kong residential lift door is 800–900mm wide and about 2 metres tall, and the carton is larger again than the set — so this television often has to go in on its edge, at an angle, or up the stairs. Before ordering, please measure:
- Lift door width and height, at the lobby and at your floor
- Your flat's front door width, and whether there is room to turn once inside
- The narrowest point of the corridor
- TV unit width — you need at least 2.3 metres — or the wall position
- If wall mounting, whether the wall will carry 58.9kg. Plasterboard will not.

How far should you sit? (the usual answer wastes the TV)
Most articles say 3 to 4 metres for a 100 inch. That figure is not wrong, but it answers a question about field of view, not about resolution — and the two are far apart.

The working: a 100 inch 16:9 picture is 1.245 m tall, 4K has 2160 lines, and the 1-arcminute criterion gives D = 3438 × height ÷ vertical pixels = 1.98 m.
Put plainly: sitting 4 metres from a 100 inch 4K screen, your eye cannot tell 4K from 1080p. The resolution you paid for is thrown away at that distance.
So our recommendation is 2 to 2.5 metres — achievable in a great many Hong Kong flats, close enough to resolve the detail, and still a large field of view. If your room forces you to sit beyond 3.5 metres, an 85 inch will serve you just as well and save you around fourteen thousand dollars.

The refresh rate needs stating properly. Samsung writes "120Hz (up to 144Hz)" — a native 120Hz panel that reaches 144Hz from a source that supports it. That is a real figure, not one bought by dropping resolution.
Gaming: all four HDMI ports run 4K 144Hz
This set is a better gaming television than most write-ups suggest. The official spec states 4 HDMI ports, 4K 144Hz on HDMI 1/2/3/4 — that is every port, not just a PC input.

One honest note: 30W across 4 channels is modest for a 100 inch screen. With a picture this large, built-in speakers struggle to keep up. Q-Symphony lets the TV speakers play alongside a soundbar rather than switching off — the HW-Q990H (HK$7,980) is Samsung's 2026 flagship, and the full range is in soundbars. On a 100 inch set we would treat a soundbar as part of the purchase, not an extra.

If your seating is more than 3.5 metres from the screen, the 85 inch will do the same job for around fourteen thousand dollars less, and it is far easier to deliver and mount. We would rather say so.

This set is international version, not local Hong Kong retail stock. The warranty is provided by us.
The Hong Kong retail model is QA100QN80FJXZK; what we sell is the international version. These are different sourcing routes and we would rather be explicit about it.
TV warranty: free on-site inspection and repair within three years; replacement parts are quoted separately. Parts are quoted first and only fitted once you have approved the quote.

Does it support Dolby Vision?
No. No Samsung television supports Dolby Vision. This set supports Neo Quantum HDR and HDR10+ (ADAPTIVE / GAMING).
What do I need to know about wall mounting?
The mount pattern is VESA 600 × 400 mm. The set weighs 58.9 kg without its stand, so the wall structure must carry that — plasterboard will not. Given the size and weight, we strongly recommend a professional site inspection and installation.
Are the built-in speakers enough?
The official spec is 30W across 4 channels, with Dolby Atmos, Object Tracking Sound Lite and Adaptive Sound Pro. Honestly, 30W is modest for a 100 inch screen, so we would recommend adding a soundbar; Q-Symphony lets the TV speakers play alongside it rather than switching off.
