Choose a gaming TV around your games, console or graphics card, seating distance and room light. A useful comparison starts with the resolution and refresh rate you will actually use, then the connections needed for each device.

Check 4K120 separately from a 120Hz label

An HDMI 2.1 label alone does not establish 4K120 support. Some higher-refresh modes use DLG and reduce effective picture resolution. Confirm both the accepted input signal and the displayed resolution at 120Hz, rather than assuming every advertised 120Hz mode preserves full 4K detail. • Ports: check which HDMI inputs support your target mode and whether the Sound Bar needs the eARC port.
• VRR and ALLM: confirm compatibility with your device; these features and their supported operating ranges vary by model.
• HDR: check format support at the resolution and refresh rate you intend to use.

PS5 and Xbox Series X offer up to 120Hz output in compatible games; 144Hz is not a console requirement. Higher refresh rates are a separate consideration for a compatible PC, graphics card and connection.

Compare display options and models

Start with Samsung QN70F in 55-inch or 65-inch, Samsung M80H 65-inch, TCL C7K and Samsung QN80F 65-inch. OLED examples include Samsung S90F 65-inch and LG OLED evo C6. Check each exact size and regional version before choosing.

Compare OLED for dark-scene contrast with Mini LED and Neo QLED options for your room. Long sessions with fixed HUDs make image-retention precautions relevant; reflections and seating angles also deserve attention.

Fit and setup

Measure the space from your sofa and check chassis width, stand footprint, wall mounting and cable access.
