Bedrooms, kitchens and desks usually put you past two metres, so at this size Full HD is not a compromise; it is the right fit.

Is Full HD enough at this size?
By the one-arcminute limit of human vision, the distance at which pixels become resolvable on a 40-inch Full HD screen is 1.59 m — sit further than that and the detail you see is identical to 4K. The typical homes for a 40-inch set (a bedroom dresser, a kitchen counter, a study) seat you beyond two metres, so the resolution is sufficient for the places this set is designed for.

50Hz is fully adequate for what this set is for — drama, news, YouTube, streaming. Hong Kong broadcast and most streaming content runs at 25 to 30 frames, where a higher refresh rate has nothing to work on.

Delivery with stand installation is HK$300 and wall mounting HK$600 with the bracket included and nothing added on the day — the 40-inch follows the 43-inch rate. Walk-ups add HK$100 per floor.
