Samsung QEF1 43": the 2025 QLED Platform at HK$2,980
The Samsung QEF1 43-inch QLED 4K Vision AI Smart TV is the newest QLED on our 43-inch shelf: 2025 platform, Q4 AI processor, HDR10+ and Vision AI features — this year's Samsung technology stack at an entry price.
HK$2,980 (was HK$4,380), in stock. Not local authorised stock — warranty provided by us, three years with free on-site service. Details under "Buying From Elechid" below.
Before You Buy: There Is a Q65D at the Same Price — What's the Difference?
We currently sell two 43-inch QLEDs at HK$2,980 (the 2025 Q7F 43" has sold out). Rather than leave you to work it out, here it is side by side:
| QEF1 (this one) | Q65D | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | HK$2,980 | HK$2,980 |
| Year | 2025 | 2024 |
| Processor | Q4 AI Processor | Quantum Processor Lite 4K |
| HDR | Quantum HDR, HDR10+ | Quantum HDR |
| AI features | Samsung Vision AI | — |
| Backlight | LED backlight | Dual LED (backlight tone adjustment) |
| Q-Symphony | Yes | — |
At the same money, most people should take this one: newer platform, a tier-higher processor, plus HDR10+ and Vision AI. The one remaining reason to pick the Q65D 43" is its Dual LED backlight tone adjustment. To save HK$200 and skip the quantum dots, step down to the U8000H Crystal UHD at HK$2,780.

Key Features
Quantum Dot: 100% Colour Volume
The quantum dot layer keeps colour saturated and accurate across brightness levels — and Samsung's 100% colour volume figure here is VDE-certified against the DCI-P3 standard. Against the Crystal UHD sets HK$200 below it, that layer is exactly what the extra money buys; side by side in the showroom the saturation difference is immediate.
Samsung Vision AI
The QEF1 is the entry point to Samsung's 2025 Vision AI range: AI 4K Upscaling cleans up the broadcast HD and compressed streams that make up most Hong Kong viewing; Color Booster Pro optimises colour automatically; AI Adaptive Sound keeps dialogue clear through loud scenes; and Generative Wallpaper turns the idle screen into something worth looking at.
Q4 AI Processor
This is the most tangible difference between the QEF1 and the 2024 entry QLEDs: the processor handles upscaling, noise reduction and sharpening — and since most of what you watch is not native 4K, the processor shapes what you actually see more often than the panel spec does.
HDR10+ and Quantum HDR
More punch in highlights, more texture in shadows. As with every Samsung TV there is no Dolby Vision — Samsung runs HDR10+ across the range.
Gaming: ALLM Yes, 120Hz No
Plug in a console and it drops into low-latency mode automatically (ALLM), with Game Bar and 21:9 / 32:9 ultra-wide views. Fine for casual play. But the panel is 50/60Hz and VRR is not listed — if you want 120Hz for a PS5 or Xbox Series X, this is not your set; see our gaming TVs.
Q-Symphony
Add a Samsung soundbar later and the TV's own 20W speakers stay on, playing in concert with it — voices stay anchored to the screen.
Who It Suits
- Bedrooms, smaller living rooms, offices — 43 inches is right at up to about 1.7m viewing distance
- You want the newest platform under three thousand — this is the 2025 QLED at that money
- A Samsung-phone household — SmartThings, mirroring and AirPlay all built in
- Casual gaming — ALLM included; serious console players should go up to the 120Hz tier
