It is the straightforward member of Skyworth's 2026 Hong Kong range: a direct-lit 4K LED set on Google TV, with three HDMI 2.1 inputs and a built-in DTMB tuner. Its one real compromise is HDR, where it sticks to standard HDR10, and that is worth understanding before you choose it.

Direct-lit 4K LED panel
The G66K puts a direct-lit (DLED) backlight behind a 3840 x 2160 panel, with a 178-degree viewing angle so the picture holds up for people sitting off to the side of the sofa or the bed. Direct-lit means the LEDs sit behind the screen rather than along its edges. There is no quantum-dot colour layer on this model, and Skyworth does not publish local dimming, a zone count or a peak brightness figure for the 55-inch G66K, so we do not quote one.
HSR 120Hz, Game Mode and HDMI 2.1
Skyworth lists the refresh rate as HSR 120Hz (High Speed Refresh). It does not publish the native panel refresh rate or the resolution at which a 120Hz signal is accepted, so if 4K at 120fps from a PS5 or Xbox Series X is the reason you are buying, treat that as unconfirmed. What is confirmed is the connectivity: three HDMI 2.1 inputs with VRR, ALLM, QMS and eARC, plus a dedicated Game Mode and a Filmmaker Mode. ALLM switches the set into its low-latency mode as soon as a console starts, and eARC lets a soundbar take audio back over the same HDMI cable.
HDR10 and Dolby Audio
HDR support is HDR10. Skyworth's Hong Kong specification for the G66K does not list Dolby Vision or HDR10+, so titles mastered in Dolby Vision on Netflix or Disney+ will play in their HDR10 form instead. If dynamic-metadata HDR matters to you, the Q66K in the same 2026 range adds Dolby Vision and HDR10+. Sound comes from two 10W speakers with Dolby Audio and DBX-TV processing.
Google TV and Hong Kong free-to-air channels
The set runs Google TV on Android 14 with a voice remote, and Skyworth lists YouTube, Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video and MyTV Super support on its Hong Kong store. Underneath is a Cortex-A55 processor with a Mali-G52 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The built-in DTMB tuner receives local digital channels from an aerial, and the rest of the connections cover one USB port, an AV input, LAN, optical audio out and a headphone jack. Wi-Fi 5 is dual-band and Bluetooth is 5.1. It carries a Grade 1 energy label.
Sized for bedrooms and smaller living rooms
At 55 inches the G66K suits the rooms where a 65-inch set would take over the wall: a master bedroom, a study, or a living room where the sofa sits fairly close to the screen. The panel is 70 mm deep without its stand and weighs 8.4 kg, and it uses a standard 200 x 200 mm VESA pattern, so wall mounting is simple. On a cabinet, allow for the full 1226 mm width. Warranty and delivery
This is Hong Kong licensed stock (行貨) carrying the manufacturer's Hong Kong warranty. The exact warranty term is stated on the warranty card supplied with the set. Viewing is available by appointment at our Kwun Tong showroom.
For a 55-inch set, delivery with tabletop installation is HK$300, or delivery with wall mounting is HK$600 with the bracket included. Collection at the Kwun Tong shop is free. Walk-up buildings without a lift add HK$100 per floor, with no cap. Discovery Bay adds HK$500. Cheung Chau and Lamma Island orders are delivered to the Central pier for self-collection, without installation. Installation is a paid service and is not included in the price of the set.
Frequently asked questions
Will it pick up Hong Kong free-to-air channels without a set-top box?
Yes. The G66K has a built-in DTMB digital terrestrial tuner, so an aerial connection is all you need for TVB and HOY channels. Run an automatic channel scan after installation.
Does it support Dolby Vision?
No. Skyworth's specification for this model lists HDR10 only. Dolby Vision titles still play, but in their HDR10 version rather than with Dolby Vision's scene-by-scene metadata.
Can it run a PS5 or Xbox Series X at 4K 120Hz?
We cannot confirm that. Skyworth quotes HSR 120Hz but does not publish the native panel refresh rate or which resolutions accept 120Hz input. The HDMI 2.1 inputs do support VRR and ALLM, so the set handles the automatic game-mode switch and variable refresh features consoles use.
Can I connect a soundbar with one cable?
Yes. The HDMI 2.1 inputs support eARC, so a compatible soundbar can receive the TV's audio over HDMI. There is also an optical digital audio output for older sound systems.
