Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos together
Sony Hong Kong lists HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision on the picture side and Dolby Atmos and DTS:X decoding on the audio side. Dolby Vision adjusts HDR scene by scene, so streaming services that offer it get a more tailored picture than a single fixed HDR curve. Colour is handled by TRILUMINOS PRO with Live Colour Technology.
4K HDR Processor X1 and Google TV
The X1 processor handles 4K upscaling, which matters for Hong Kong free-to-air and much streaming content that is not native 4K. Google TV gathers streaming apps and recommendations on one home screen, with voice search across services. A DTMB tuner covering UHF 21 to 69 is built in, so local channels come straight from an aerial.
Direct LED with frame dimming
Sony specifies a Direct LED backlight with Frame Dimming: the whole backlight adjusts together, without independent zones. It suits normal indoor lighting well; in a fully dark room, black bars and night scenes will look lighter than on Sony's Mini LED or OLED models.
Plainly: not a gaming TV
Sony Hong Kong lists the panel refresh rate as 50Hz with Motionflow XR 200 (Native 50Hz), and the VRR row reads "-". ALLM is supported on all four HDMI inputs and PS5 Auto HDR Tone Mapping and Auto Genre Picture Mode are listed, so casual console play works, but there is no 4K120. For gaming, the BRAVIA 3 II (XR30M2) has a native 120Hz panel with VRR on all four inputs.
A light, easy 55-inch
At about 15.7 kg on its stand, the 55-inch S30 is easy to place in a bedroom, a study or a smaller living room, and wall-mounts on a VESA 300 x 300 mm bracket. Warranty and delivery
This is Hong Kong licensed stock (行貨) carrying the manufacturer's Hong Kong warranty. The exact warranty term is stated on the warranty card supplied with the set.
For a 55-inch set, delivery with tabletop installation is HK$300, or delivery with wall mounting is HK$600 with the bracket included. Collection at our Kwun Tong shop is free. Walk-up buildings add HK$100 per floor with no cap. Discovery Bay adds HK$500. Cheung Chau and Lamma orders are delivered to the Central pier for self-collection, with no installation. Installation is an optional paid service and is not included in the price of the set.
