The StormBox Micro 3 is for people who want music on the handlebars or the backpack strap without fitting a separate bracket. A built-in silicone strap wraps around bars about 30 mm thick, and a magnetic back holds it on static metal surfaces. Inside is a 13W driver with an XBass button, Bluetooth 6.0 with up to 45 m range, and a 4800mAh battery rated for up to 24 hours at 50% volume. It is IP68 dust and water resistant, drop-tested to 1.22 m, and can top up your phone through its USB-C port.

Key features

Strap and magnet, no bracket needed

The silicone strap stretches around a handlebar, pole or bag strap and grips the speaker in place. Tribit designs it for poles of around 30 mm; much thicker bars may wear the strap faster. For everyday use the magnetic back sticks to static metal surfaces such as a locker or a tent frame.

IP68 and drop-tested

The speaker carries an SGS-certified IP68 rating and has been drop-tested from 1.22 m to a US military standard, so mud, rain and a rinse under the tap are fine. Keep the rubber port cover firmly closed when it is wet.

24-hour battery that can charge your phone

Tribit rates the 4800mAh battery at up to 24 hours with the default EQ at 50% volume, and a 15-minute charge gives about 3 hours of music. A full charge takes about 2 hours with a 5V/3A charger, and the USB-C port can also output 5V/1A to top up a phone.

App EQ, stereo pairing and calls

The TRIBIT app offers 6 presets, a 9-band EQ and a sleep timer, and handles firmware updates. Two Micro 3 speakers can pair in stereo or party mode, and the built-in mic handles hands-free calls and voice assistants.

FAQ

Can I pair it with a different Tribit speaker?

No. Tribit states the Micro 3 only pairs with another Micro 3, in stereo or party mode. Press the TWS button on either speaker to switch between the two modes.

Can I stick it to my bike or car with the magnet?

Tribit says the magnet is for static metal surfaces only and should not be used on moving vehicles. On a bike, use the silicone strap instead. Users with implanted medical devices should check with their doctor before using the magnetic attachment.

Is a charger included, and how long does charging take?

The box includes a USB-C to USB-C cable but no wall charger. With a 5V/3A (15W) charger it takes about 2 hours; a weaker charger takes longer.
