What 5,500 Nits Actually Means
Typical living-room TVs peak at several hundred to a thousand-odd nits; the C8L is rated up to 5,500 - sunlight glints, explosions and lanterns in HDR get close to genuinely dazzling, while 2,584 zones keep the surrounding blacks from washing grey. That pairing is what "flagship Mini LED" means. One tier down sits the C7L (1,352 zones, 3,000 nits); the previous generation is our C6K, and the full ladder is in our TCL TV lineup guide.
Licensed Stock: Warranty and Reception
This is Hong Kong licensed stock: warranty runs through TCL's official Hong Kong channel (per our warranty policy, licensed sets carry the brand's own warranty - term as published by TCL Hong Kong), and the spec follows Hong Kong's DTMB broadcast standard, so aerial reception of local free channels is native and our installer tunes it for you.
Delivery and Installation
75-inch delivery with tabletop setup is $600, or $1,200 with wall mounting (bracket included); free pickup at our Kwun Tong shop, collection-only with no demo units and no side-by-side viewing. Next-day delivery, driver calls an hour ahead, no Sunday or public holiday deliveries. Details on the delivery and installation page. We can also take your old TV away on delivery (40-inch or larger, up to 10cm thick, non-CRT).
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the C8L worth the step up from the C7L?
Zones go 1,352 to 2,584 and brightness 3,000 to 5,500 nits - both nearly double. For dark-room HDR film nights and the fiercest highlights, the C8L is the one; for mixed everyday use the C7L is plenty.
Is the 144Hz native?
Yes - officially native 144Hz with a full 4K 144Hz signal path. The separate 288 figure is an accelerator mode (288Hz source required), not native.
How does the licensed warranty work?
Hong Kong licensed stock runs on TCL's official Hong Kong warranty channel, term as published by TCL Hong Kong.
