Micro RGB TVs: the Main Battleground of 2026's Premium War

The shared 2026 script for premium TVs is turning the backlight from white into red, green and blue LEDs - colour separated at the light source, lifting gamut and purity a full step. Mind the naming: Samsung calls it Micro RGB, LG also calls it Micro RGB (the 86-inch is MRGB95, the 100-inch MRGB96 in Hong Kong naming), while Sony officially says RGB LED. Three Things to Know Before Buying

Third, LG's Hong Kong naming is a trap: the 86-inch is MRGB95 and the 100-inch is MRGB96 - do not copy model numbers from overseas sites.
