The ACCENTUM Plus shares its acoustics with the standard ACCENTUM Wireless — same 37mm drivers, same 50-hour battery, same 10-minute-to-5-hours fast charge. What the Plus adds is adaptive noise cancelling that tracks the room instead of holding one fixed strength, aptX Adaptive instead of aptX HD, a touch panel instead of buttons, and a hard case and 3.5mm cable in the box. If those four things matter to how you listen, this is the model to take.

Adaptive hybrid ANC
Noise cancelling here adjusts continuously to what is around you rather than running at one preset level. The practical difference shows on a commute that changes character — street, MTR platform, carriage, office — where a fixed-strength system is either over-cancelling in the quiet stretches or under-cancelling in the loud ones. A transparency mode lets outside sound back in with one touch.
50 hours, and 10 minutes gets you five
Sennheiser rates the 800mAh battery at up to 50 hours with ANC running, which puts charging on a weekly rather than nightly footing. Ten minutes on the cable returns five hours of playback, and a full charge takes about three and a half hours.
aptX Adaptive, and a sound profile built from your own hearing
Codec support covers SBC, AAC, aptX and aptX Adaptive — the last one varies its bitrate with signal conditions and drops latency for video and gaming on supported Android devices. Separately, Sound Personalization runs a short hearing check developed with the Fraunhofer Institute and builds an EQ profile from your results, on top of the five-band EQ in the Smart Control app.
Wired when you need it
A 3.5mm to 2.5mm analogue cable is supplied for aircraft entertainment systems and anything without Bluetooth, and the USB-C port handles audio from a PC or Mac as well as charging. The headphones fold flat into the supplied hard case.

Frequently asked questions
What exactly do I get over the standard ACCENTUM Wireless?
Four things: adaptive ANC instead of fixed-strength, aptX Adaptive instead of aptX HD, touch controls instead of buttons, and a hard case plus a 3.5mm cable in the box. Drivers, frequency response, battery life and fast charging are identical on both.
Is it Bluetooth 5.3?
No, 5.2. A lot of listings state 5.3 — Sennheiser's own specification says 5.2.
How long does it last with ANC switched off?
Sennheiser does not publish that figure. The 50-hour rating is quoted with ANC running, and we would rather tell you that than repeat a number from a review as though it came from the manufacturer.
