The BRAVIA 5 is the point in Sony's 65-inch line-up where the backlight stops being a single flat sheet of LEDs and becomes a controllable grid. Sony specifies a Mini LED backlight with local dimming behind a native 120Hz panel, driven by the XR Processor and running Google TV. Mini LED backlight with local dimming
Sony lists the backlight type as Mini LED and the backlight dimming type as Local Dimming, which means the panel can darken and brighten independent regions instead of lighting the whole screen uniformly. In practice that is what stops letterbox bars and night scenes from washing out to grey. Sony's Hong Kong specification does not publish a dimming-zone count or a peak brightness figure for this model, so none is quoted here.
A native 120Hz panel, not a motion-rate number
The panel refresh rate is 120Hz native — the physical panel itself, not an interpolated marketing figure. All four HDMI inputs are side-mounted and carry the HDMI 2.1 feature set Sony lists as 4K120, eARC, VRR, ALLM and SBTM, with HDCP 2.3 across the board. The arrangement is Acoustic Multi-Audio with Sound Positioning Tweeter and X-Balanced Speaker, and the set decodes Dolby Audio, Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD Master Audio and DTS:X. Warranty and delivery
This is Hong Kong licensed stock (行貨) carrying the manufacturer's Hong Kong warranty. The exact warranty term is stated on the warranty card supplied with the set. Viewing is available by appointment at our Kwun Tong showroom.
Delivery with tabletop installation is HK$300, or delivery with wall mounting is HK$600 with the bracket included. Collection at our Kwun Tong shop is free. Walk-up buildings add HK$100 per floor with no cap. Discovery Bay adds HK$500. Cheung Chau and Lamma orders are delivered to the Central pier for self-collection, with no installation. Installation is an optional paid service and is not included in the price of the set.
