Samsung U8000H 75-Inch Crystal UHD 4K Smart TV (International) Overview
The U8000H is Samsung's lowest ticket into a 75-inch screen for 2026: Crystal Processor 4K upscaling, HDR10+, Tizen with Vision AI. Its maths is simple - the budget all goes on size. Below we say plainly what it trades away.

50Hz plus DLG: the Honest Size-First Choice
Straight from the official spec page: the U8000H runs a native 50Hz panel, and its "120Hz" is a DLG half-resolution mode - do not count it as native 120 (how DLG works is untangled in our refresh-rate guide). The page does list VRR, ALLM and HGiG, so consoles get the basics - though VRR on a 50Hz panel has a narrow working range, and serious gamers should step up to a high-refresh model. Its real trade is the cheapest way to 75 inches: the Crystal Processor 4K rescues cable TV and older sources, and HDR10+ keeps streaming honest - for movie-and-sport households where size leads, the sums work. Same set, one size down: the 65-inch U8000H.
What 2026 Adds: Vision AI and Dual Casting
As a 2026 model the U8000H carries the full Vision AI Companion kit: Soccer Mode for sport, Karaoke Mic support - and one genuinely uncommon thing: both AirPlay and Google Cast, so iPhone and Android households cast without thinking. For a picture step up in last year's premium Crystal UHD line, compare the 75-inch U8500F in store.
International Version: Warranty and Reception, Said Plainly
This is the international version: per our warranty policy it carries a 10-day exchange for faults plus a 3-year on-site warranty (on-site labour free; parts quoted for your approval first). On reception, said plainly: the international spec sheet lists a different broadcast standard from Hong Kong's DTMB, so our installer tests aerial reception on delivery; if your building's aerial signal is weak, message us on WhatsApp before ordering. Set-top boxes, Netflix and YouTube are entirely unaffected.
Delivery and Installation
75-inch delivery with tabletop setup is $600, or $1,200 with wall mounting (bracket included); free pickup at our Kwun Tong shop, collection-only with no demo units and no side-by-side viewing. Next-day delivery, driver calls an hour ahead, no Sunday or public holiday deliveries. Details on the delivery and installation page. We can also take your old TV away on delivery (40-inch or larger, up to 10cm thick, non-CRT).
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the U8000H do 120Hz gaming?
Not natively - the official page lists native 50Hz with 4K 60Hz HDMI input, plus a DLG 120Hz half-resolution mode. VRR, ALLM and HGiG are officially listed, so casual console play is fine; for high frame rates step up to a high-refresh model.
Does it support Dolby Vision or Dolby Atmos?
Samsung TVs run HDR10+ rather than Dolby Vision; on audio the official page lists OTS Lite, Q-Symphony and Adaptive Sound, with no Dolby Atmos listed - so we write none.
How does the international-version warranty work?
A 10-day exchange for faults, plus a 3-year on-site warranty: on-site labour is free, and any parts are quoted for your approval before work proceeds - a different system from licensed stock's brand warranty.
