Many digital photo frames are bought for parents and grandparents: they may not scroll through photos on a phone, but they walk past the living room every day. With a Wi-Fi frame you send photos from your own phone, wherever you are, and the frame updates itself, with nothing for them to learn. Every frame here is a Hong Kong licensed Kodak model, from 10.1 to 17.3 inches, including Wi-Fi, card-only, touchscreen and battery versions.

Wi-Fi frame or card-only frame

The Wi-Fi frames (RCF-1029, WF-173V, RWF-141, RCF-1561P, RCF-1005P, RWF-127V, RCF-1013 and RCF-1012W) receive photos through the official app or by email, and several phones can send to the same frame, which suits families living apart. The RDPF-1028C has no Wi-Fi or app: insert an SD card or USB drive and it plays, with a remote control included. It suits anyone who doesn't want an account and just wants to show old photos.

Size and resolution

10.1 inches: the most common size for a table or shelf. Most are 1280 × 800; the RWF-127V is 1920 × 1200 for finer detail.
14.1 and 15.6 inches: the RWF-141 and RCF-1561P have Full HD touch screens that are easy to see from across a living room.
17.3 inches: the WF-173V is a Full HD wall-mounted frame controlled by remote, like a picture that changes.

Touch screens, batteries and placement

Touch models let you pick photos and change settings on the screen; the RWF-127V, RCF-1013, RCF-1012W, RCF-1005P, RWF-141 and RCF-1561P all have touch screens. The RCF-1029 and RCF-1005P have a built-in 4000 mAh battery, so you can move them from the living room to a bedroom without a cable. Finishes include real wood, wood colour, and black or grey MDF, so think about where the frame will sit.

Calendar and other features

The RCF-1029 is a smart calendar frame that syncs with Google, iCloud, Outlook and other calendars to show the whole family's schedule, and it has an art gallery mode. Most other models include a clock, weather, alarm and auto-rotate. The frames also play video, but clip length is limited to between 15 and 120 seconds depending on the model. Wi-Fi models have 16 GB to 32 GB of built-in storage (by model), and you can add a memory card or USB drive.

Hong Kong licensed warranty and delivery

Everything in this collection is Hong Kong licensed stock, covered by the local distributor's warranty; the period is shown on the warranty card in the box. All items are brand new. How does my family send photos to the frame?

Once a Wi-Fi model is set up, family members use the official app on their phones or send photos by email. The app name differs by model, so check the product page.

Can someone who doesn’t use a smartphone use one?

Yes. With a Wi-Fi frame you send the photos remotely and they only need to switch it on. If there is no Wi-Fi at home, choose the RDPF-1028C, which plays from a card and uses a remote.
