NVRs & Security Camera Accessories

Once you've chosen the cameras, how well the system works often comes down to everything behind them: where footage is stored, where power comes from and how the cables are finished. This page brings together Reolink, SpotCam and EZVIZ recorders (NVRs), home hubs, PoE switches, solar panels, spare batteries, mounts, junction boxes, power adapters and cloud recording plans, all Hong Kong licensed. Where the footage goes

NVRs: shops, village houses and multi-camera setups

An NVR records several cameras to a hard drive, 24 hours a day, so each camera doesn't need its own memory card. Reolink offers 4-, 8- and 16-channel PoE NVRs. Models marked "NHD" come without a hard drive, so you'll need a surveillance drive; an 8-channel version with a 2TB drive pre-installed is also available. PoE NVRs have PoE ports on the back, so each camera needs just one network cable for power and data. For larger commercial sites, see the Reolink professional RP-PN8, RP-PN16 and RP-N64. For EZVIZ cameras there are the X5S wireless NVR and the R5C home NAS/NVR.

Take care when mixing brands. Reolink states that only Reolink cameras are guaranteed to work with Reolink NVRs; other brands must support ONVIF, and not every feature may work.

Home Hub: local storage for Wi-Fi and battery cameras

The Reolink Home Hub Mini stores footage from Wi-Fi and battery cameras on a local microSD card (up to 1TB) with no monthly fee, and manages up to 8 Reolink Wi-Fi cameras in one app.

Cloud recording plans

If a camera or recorder is taken, the footage on its card or drive goes with it; cloud recording keeps a copy. Reolink Cloud covers one device with 30 days of event recording for a year. SpotCam Cloud NVR offers 7, 30 or 90 days of 24-hour continuous recording for a year. EZVIZ CloudPlay gives 7-day cloud recording for 12 months. Cloud plans aren't physical goods, so WhatsApp us to confirm activation before ordering.

Power and networking

PoE switches

PoE (Power over Ethernet) carries power and data over one network cable, so you don't need a socket near the camera. The Reolink 5-port Gigabit PoE switch has 4 PoE+ ports and a 65W total budget. Add up the wattage of your cameras and keep it under the switch's limit.

Power adapters and extension cables

The Reolink 5V 2A adapter is for indoor cameras; the 12V 2A adapter is for PoE cameras not powered by PoE, or outdoor Wi-Fi cameras. Both have UK three-pin plugs. The 4.5m DC extension cable lengthens the power lead of 12V outdoor Wi-Fi cameras.

Solar panels and spare batteries

A solar panel saves taking an outdoor battery camera down to charge. Reolink offers Solar Panel 2 (6W), Solar Panel 3 (12W) and Solar Panel 2S with a built-in 5900mAh battery; the SpotCam Solar Panel Pro suits Solo 2 and Solo Pro; EZVIZ also has a panel with a Micro-USB plug. Check whether your camera charges by USB-C or Micro-USB, and whether the model is supported. For spare power there's the Reolink Li19 battery (for Go Plus and Go Ultra) and the 92Wh RLA-BP1 battery pack.

Mounting accessories

Junction boxes: Reolink B10 for bullet cameras and D20 for dome cameras hide the connections for a neater wall and better weather protection.
Mounts and bases: Reolink Go Plus / Argus Eco bracket, EZVIZ pan-tilt camera wall bracket, SpotCam clamp stand (1/4-inch screw) and Eva Pro magnetic base.
Reolink Chime: an indoor chime for the Reolink battery doorbell.

Before fitting cameras or running cables on an outside wall or in a building's common areas, check with your building management.

Everything in this collection is Hong Kong licensed stock, covered by the local distributor's warranty (see the warranty card in the box for the exact period), and 100% brand new. You can book a visit to our Kwun Tong showroom to see products (viewing only). FAQ

Does an NVR include a hard drive?

It depends on the model. Models marked NHD don't, so you'll need a surveillance hard drive; some models come with one pre-installed. Each product page lists the number of drive bays and the maximum capacity.

Can I connect cameras from different brands to one NVR?

Sticking to one brand is safest. Reolink only guarantees its own cameras; other brands must support ONVIF, and some features may not work.

If I have an NVR, do I still need cloud recording?

Not necessarily. But if the NVR itself is taken or damaged, the footage goes with it, so cloud recording adds a second layer of protection if you need it.
