Samsung DU9000 98-inch Crystal UHD 4K
The 98-inch DU9000 is an LED-backlit LCD TV with Crystal Processor 4K and a large 3840 × 2160 screen. It offers a documented 4K120 input profile, unlike many smaller Crystal UHD models. It is not QLED, Mini LED or 8K; use its own size-specific specification when planning a cinema-style or sports setup.

Motion and source compatibility
Samsung’s AU sheet lists 100Hz native refresh and 4K120 on all three HDMI inputs. VRR, ALLM, Game Motion Plus, FreeSync Premium and HGiG are documented. Compatible sources, cables, games and settings are still needed; 120Hz console output does not require a 144Hz TV input, and no measured lag or guaranteed game frame rate is claimed.
Picture processing and external sound
Crystal Processor 4K and UHD Dimming provide picture processing; HDR and HDR10+ support are listed. Neither the processor nor upscaling turns every compressed or lower-resolution programme into native 4K. Adjust motion processing for the programme and personal preference rather than promising all content becomes 120fps.
The reference lists 20W two-channel audio, OTS Lite, Adaptive Sound and Q-Symphony; Dolby Atmos is marked N/A on the TV specification. A separately purchased compatible Samsung Sound Bar can be considered for a larger room, with formats and source connections checked independently.

These reference measurements describe the chassis and stand, not theoretical visible-screen dimensions. Check the cabinet width, supported stand positions, wall structure and bracket load rating. A narrow stand setting does not make a cabinet narrower than the television automatically suitable.
The AU carton is 2369 × 1404 × 275mm at 76kg. Plan the full delivery route and mounting access. A separate minimum stand position of 455.6 × 402.3mm is listed: confirm the actual supplied feet and position rather than assuming a narrow cabinet automatically fits.
Streaming and everyday connections
Tizen provides the smart-TV interface. Apps, AI functions, language support and connected-device features vary by regional model and service region; some require a Samsung Account, internet access, compatible devices or subscriptions. Confirm the services you use rather than assuming an overseas app list or tuner provides Hong Kong reception.

Measure the actual cabinet, chassis and stand footprint, leaving space for cables and a Sound Bar. Check packed dimensions, doorway and lift access for delivery. Yes. Samsung’s UA98DU9000WXXY reference documents 4K120 input. Use a compatible console or device, supported game, suitable cable and the required device and TV settings. Input support does not guarantee every game runs at 120fps.

No. Confirm the services and language you use for the complete supplied regional model. Internet, accounts, compatible devices and subscriptions may be required.
Which dimensions matter for this 98-inch setup?
