The inch figure is the screen diagonal, not the cabinet width. Begin with your eye-to-screen distance, available wall or cabinet space and viewing habits. A larger screen can be more immersive, but subtitles, lower-quality streams and local broadcast may also make you prefer a different seating distance.
These are calculated visible-screen widths, not model measurements. The bezel, stand legs, cabinet depth and ventilation allowance must come from the actual product specification. Do not assume a 150 cm cabinet safely fits every 65-inch model, or that wall mounting removes clearance requirements.
Use distance examples as a starting point
For a 16:9 screen, a horizontal viewing angle of roughly 30–40° gives illustrative ranges of about 1.7–2.3 m at 55 inches, 2.0–2.7 m at 65 inches and 3.0–4.0 m at 98 inches. These are geometric examples, not a compulsory comfort rule. Content quality, eyesight and personal preference still matter.
Nearby OLED sizes such as 77 and 83 inches, or LCD sizes such as 86 and 100 inches, must be checked individually. Browse TV display technologies after narrowing the physical size. For larger sets, measure the packaged carton and turning route through the building before delivery.
