At CES in January 2026, Samsung presented a 130-inch Micro RGB television, combining an ultra-large display with RGB lighting, AI picture processing and a gallery-inspired design. This is a historical announcement reference, not a Hong Kong availability or price claim.
Micro RGB and Micro LED are different
Micro RGB refers to small red, green and blue sources used in an LCD backlight. Micro LED instead uses self-emissive display elements. An RGB backlight does not establish that LCD layers or colour filters have been removed; compare the complete model’s official structure rather than the word ‘Micro’.
What the wide-colour claim tells you
The announcement’s 100% BT.2020 figure is a manufacturer claim. The supplied version’s value should be checked against the full SKU’s official certification data and measurement conditions. Gamut coverage is not the same as colour accuracy, and does not guarantee that every film, sport programme or game will look more natural in every picture mode.
AI, design, reflections and sound
Samsung positioned AI processing, a gallery-style frame, glare reduction and integrated audio as parts of the presentation. Upscaling cannot recreate every missing source detail; reflections depend on windows and lighting; dialogue clarity and immersion depend on the room and setup. These feature names are not guarantees of identical results with all content.
Before considering a 130-inch installation
Confirm the actual regional model, display and carton dimensions, weight, delivery route, seating distance, source inputs and service terms. Use experienced installers to assess handling, wall or stand support and cable planning. An exhibition announcement is not proof of a Hong Kong launch, current stock or a roadmap for smaller sizes.
