A wall-mounted TV tidies a room instantly — no cabinet in the way, cables hidden, the whole thing looking like a showroom. But Hong Kong buildings contain every kind of wall, and a few things need settling first. Not to alarm you: mounting to the wrong wall really does drop televisions.
Costs first
We charge by screen size, and the fee includes delivery, installation and the bracket:
- 32 inch — tabletop $200 / wall mount $400
- 43 – 65 inch — tabletop $300 / wall mount $600
- 75 inch — tabletop $600 / wall mount $1,200
- 85 inch — tabletop $800 / wall mount $1,500
- 98 inch — tabletop $1,500 / wall mount $2,000
Also: store pickup is free; delivery to street level for self-carry is $200. Surcharges: walk-ups and stairs are $100 per floor with no floor limit, Discovery Bay adds $500, Ma Wan carries no surcharge. Cheung Chau and Lamma are delivered to Central Pier for collection, and installation is not available in those two areas.
A worked example: a 65-inch to a 4th-floor walk-up with wall mounting = $600 (delivery and mounting) + $400 (four flights) = $1,000.

What kind of wall do you have?
Concrete — ideal
Most structural and partition walls in Hong Kong buildings are concrete. It carries the load easily with expansion anchors, at any screen size. An installer can tell by knocking on it.
Brick or lightweight block — depends
Older buildings and later partitions sometimes use brick. Solid brick generally holds with the correct anchors, but lightweight aerated block carries far less load and is not recommended for large screens.
Plasterboard or timber partitions — usually not
If it sounds hollow and dents easily, this is what you have. These walls are non-load-bearing: unless there is a stud or steel frame behind to anchor into, a TV should not go on them, especially above 55 inches.
Curtain wall or full-height glazing — not possible
Nothing to drill into. Tabletop or a floor stand are the only options.

⚠ When we will tell you not to mount
Being straight matters more than one more invoice:
- Plasterboard with no stud support and a screen above 55 inches — do not mount it
- Renting, with a landlord who does not allow drilling — making good later can cost more than a cabinet
- Pipes or wiring running behind the wall — drilling into either is a serious repair; do not gamble on unknown routing
- Moving soon — mounting, removing and patching is the job twice over
In these cases a tabletop setup loses very little. Modern TV feet sit tight and low, and the room still looks clean.
Choosing a bracket
Fixed (flush)
Closest to the wall, cheapest, most secure — a few centimetres of gap. Right when the sofa faces the screen squarely.
Tilting
Angles downward slightly. Useful when the screen sits above eye level, such as over a cabinet, cutting glare and neck strain.
Full-motion / articulating arm
Pulls out and swivels. Suits open kitchens, L-shaped seating, or wanting a view from more than one spot. The most expensive, and it sits furthest from the wall.
Our installation includes a bracket, so nothing extra is normally needed. If you want something specific such as a full-motion arm, tell us when ordering and we will quote the difference.
How high should it go?
The usual mistake is mounting too high — looking up tires your neck. Seated, your eye line should fall near the middle of the screen, or just below it.
A practical method: sit where you normally sit, look straight at the wall, and that height is your screen centre. With a typical sofa, that puts the centre around 100 to 110 cm from the floor. Above a cabinet or fireplace usually ends up too high, which is where a tilting bracket earns its place.
On installation day
- Clear the wall area — the installer needs room for a ladder and the carton
- Think about the socket — if the TV will cover it, plan where the extension lead goes
- Have everything ready to connect — soundbar, set-top box, console, all in one pass
- Keep the carton — it matters during the 10-day exchange period
On cable management: cables can be run in surface trunking, or chased into the wall (which is building work). Our standard installation covers neat positioning and basic cable tidying; in-wall chasing is not part of it.
How mounting affects your warranty
International-version TVs carry a 3-year on-site warranty, and for a wall-mounted set, removing and re-mounting during a warranty repair is included — you will not be charged separately to get it off the wall. Few people know this before buying, and it is worth counting in.
FAQ
Do I need to buy a bracket separately?
No — the installation fee includes one. Speciality brackets such as full-motion arms can be arranged separately.
Do you deliver to walk-up buildings?
Yes. $100 per floor, no floor limit.
Is plasterboard always impossible?
Not always, but there must be a stud or steel frame to anchor into, and the screen cannot be too large. The installer will judge on site; if it is not safe, we will recommend a tabletop setup rather than force it.
Can I book installation without buying the TV here?
Our installation service accompanies TVs bought from us; we do not take standalone installation jobs.
What if I want it moved later?
Message us on WhatsApp and we will quote for the situation. Removal and re-mounting for warranty repairs is already covered.
How soon do you deliver?
Usually next day. Tell us your preferred window when ordering and we will do our best to match it.
