The 86-inch LG QNED86 is a 2025 MiniLED-backlit 4K LCD TV for films, sport and compatible high-frame-rate gaming. It combines Alpha 8 Gen 2 processing with a native 120Hz panel and webOS 25. This page is for 86 inches, not the other sizes that may appear in a collection.
The original description names 86QNED86ACA, but that full suffix is not established by the manufacturer sources reviewed. The table uses LG’s Saudi Arabia 86QNED86A6A as a clearly identified regional reference; confirm the supplied suffix and tuner before ordering.

QNED colour and MiniLED control
MiniLED describes the LCD backlight, not a self-emissive OLED panel. Local dimming controls parts of that backlight for dark and bright areas. LG describes the 2025 Dynamic QNED Colour Solution as replacing quantum dots on its 100QNED86A6A page, so QNED should not automatically be described as Quantum Dot plus NanoCell. Panel subtype, exact dimming-zone counts and measured peak brightness are not asserted here.
Gaming, streaming and external sound
The reference models support HDMI 4K120 and up to 144Hz VRR; use a supported console or PC, game, HDMI cable and settings. The maximum VRR rate does not mean native 144Hz or 4K144 from every source. A Sound Bar on HDMI 3 eARC occupies one input, so count consoles, a disc player and a set-top box in advance.
Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG playback depend on the content and source. webOS 25 apps, voice features and accounts vary by region, and some services require subscriptions. AI upscaling can process a lower-resolution source, but cannot guarantee native-4K detail. External audio is an option rather than a claim that the TV fills every room on its own.
Planning for 86 inches
At 86 inches, check the packed carton against lift interiors and doorway turns, then check cabinet load rating and stand depth. A theoretical 16:9 visible screen is about 190cm wide by 107cm high. This is not the chassis, stand or carton size. Confirm the actual model’s dimensions, weight, VESA and accessories before mounting.
Hong Kong ordering and service
Delivery and installation: Check delivery, paid installation and recycling arrangements before ordering. Tabletop and wall-mount installation are separate paid services; access and mounting conditions affect the arrangement. Kwun Tong is for stock and collection only, with no demonstrations or side-by-side viewing. WhatsApp us about stock and collection.
Warranty: Eligible international-version TVs receive three years of on-site inspection and repair labour; replacement parts are quoted separately. Eligibility, exclusions and any exchange arrangements are subject to the full TV warranty policy. Hong Kong licensed stock follows the applicable brand and model terms.
Frequently asked questions
Is QNED86 OLED?
No. The cited QNED86 models are LCD TVs with MiniLED backlighting. QNED is not proof that every LG QNED model has MiniLED or quantum dots.
Is 144Hz the native panel rate?
The cited references are native 120Hz with up to 144Hz VRR for compatible inputs. Check your exact regional model and gaming source.
Will it receive local Hong Kong channels?
Confirm DTMB support on the full supplied suffix and your building aerial system; the international-version label alone is not enough.
