Outdoor Security Cameras
Outdoor entrances, village houses, rooftops and parking spaces have different power and network conditions. Choose an outdoor CCTV camera after planning distance, lighting and access for maintenance. Compare Wi-Fi, PoE and SIM-based 4G models where appropriate.
Checks for an outdoor location
- Check the published weather rating and operating conditions. Protect adapters, cable joints and connectors separately.
- Night-time faces, vehicles and entrance detail depend on light, distance and angle as well as the stated night-vision range.
- Test Wi-Fi or mobile reception at the mounting point. Battery and solar setups also need a practical charging plan.
Use a wide view for an overview and plan detail views around the actual distance. Battery event recording and powered continuous recording may behave differently. Once the camera is selected, confirm its supported memory card, recorder or cloud-storage method.
