NVR Recorders & Systems
Use an NVR network video recorder for central recording and playback from compatible cameras. When comparing a recorder or a PoE CCTV kit, list the camera count, resolution and retention period first, then check channels, incoming bandwidth and drive configuration.
Check channels, drives and compatibility separately
- Channel count, physical PoE port count and total power budget are separate specifications.
- A drive may be included, sold separately or vary by kit. Check storage limits for the precise hardware version.
- Battery, Wi-Fi and PoE cameras from one brand can have different NVR support. Verify the model list and function limits.
Continuous-recording retention depends on camera count, bitrate and recording settings. Compare a compatible Home Hub as well if your setup uses battery cameras or hub-based management. A hub and an NVR should be assessed on their supported cameras and functions rather than treated as interchangeable.
