Camera Power, PoE Switches & Batteries
Camera power accessories can include adapters, extension leads, PoE switches and model-specific backup batteries. Decide whether you are powering one camera or several PoE devices, then size the equipment around their published electrical requirements.
Check voltage, connectors and PoE power separately
- Match adapter DC voltage, current requirements, connector dimensions and polarity; physical fit alone is not enough.
- For PoE or PoE+, check both per-port output and the total power budget, including other connected devices.
- Pair backup batteries with their supported camera or device. They do not automatically support the router, NVR or whole network.
Check outdoor protection for the camera, adapter and cable joints individually. Power extensions must also follow the equipment’s distance and electrical limits. If pairing is unclear, provide the complete camera and accessory model numbers before choosing a replacement supply.
