The NexiGo Aurora Pro MKII is an ALPD 5.0 laser projector for a large screen positioned above a living-room cabinet. Its 0.21:1 ultra-short-throw optics reduce the long projection path across the room. Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and the Scene Adapt Engine's dynamic iris and laser dimming give it a film-focused feature set, with separate low-latency options for gaming.

Check the cabinet, screen height and lighting

The supported picture range is 80–150 inches. Ultra-short throw saves distance across the room, but still needs cabinet depth and accurate screen positioning. NexiGo lists a body depth of about 40.75 cm. Basco's local body-to-wall gap reference is 6.48–13.34 inches, approximately 16.5–33.9 cm; confirm the size-specific installation drawing before choosing furniture. That gap is not the optical throw distance or the total cabinet depth.

Allow for cables, ventilation and the vertical offset between cabinet and picture. A flat surface matters because steep projection makes wall irregularities conspicuous. For ambient-light control, choose a screen specifically compatible with UST projection, such as a suitable CLR material; ordinary long-throw ALR material is not interchangeable. Read the white wall, ALR and CLR screen guide and throw distance and placement guide. Its 2,400 ANSI-lumen figure is NexiGo's peak lab rating, not guaranteed calibrated brightness in daylight.

4K films and gaming use different modes

The Hong Kong distributor describes 3840 × 2160 UHD output using XPR pixel shifting. This is a 4K output specification, not a claim of a native 3840 × 2160 imaging chip. The dynamic contrast figure also describes enabled processing, rather than constant contrast in every scene.

NexiGo reports 4.2–8 ms input lag specifically at 1080p/240 Hz in low-latency mode, and 17.6 ms at 4K/60 Hz. These are manufacturer measurements, not Elechid tests. High-refresh 1080p play and detailed 4K/60 Hz play are separate choices; do not read HDMI 2.1 or local 120 Hz wording as a promise of 4K/120 Hz display.

Use a suitable player and audio connection

Connect a compatible HDMI streaming player or disc player for your chosen services and HDR formats. NexiGo's support covers external players, USB playback and wireless casting; it does not establish a universally certified built-in streaming app platform. Confirm Hong Kong app availability and firmware. Protected phone content can restrict mirroring; see phone casting black-screen troubleshooting.

The four internal drivers total 60 W and support Dolby Atmos/DTS HD. An eARC soundbar or compatible audio system can extend the setup, but format support does not imply separate overhead speakers or an included subwoofer. The projector requires AC power.

Questions about installation and playback

Is a screen or streaming stick included?

Do not assume one from overseas bundles. Confirm the exact Elechid package and compatible screen before ordering; select a separate player if your service requires it.

Will it replace a TV beside a bright window?

Direct light still washes out projection. Plan curtains, screen material and viewing hours around the room.
