The Kodak Luma 450 offers native 1080p DLP projection and a rechargeable battery in a compact square body, with a supplied tabletop tripod. It is a useful option for moving between rooms, showing photos at a friend's home or watching a film after dark without keeping the projector beside a socket. Its 200 ANSI-lumen rating calls for controlled lighting rather than daylight viewing.
A portable screen with realistic lighting expectations
Elechid and Kodak advertise pictures up to 150 inches. For ordinary Hong Kong rooms, start smaller and adjust to the available darkness: a larger picture spreads the same light over more surface area. Place the tripod on a firm table, align the projector with the screen and adjust the manual focus. Keystone correction helps with alignment, but cannot flatten a textured wall or replace a suitable position.
Confirm the lens-to-screen distance for your intended picture size before purchase. The local distributor's ratio notation is ambiguous, so a precise distance should come from the supplied model's setup chart. Our throw distance and placement guide explains the measurement, and the white wall, ALR and CLR screen guide helps you choose a surface.
Android apps, HDMI and battery power
The Luma 450 runs Android 9.0, rather than assuming the same app experience as an Android TV device. Built-in apps, the LUMA phone remote app, compatible wireless mirroring and USB files provide several viewing paths. Kodak confirms that supported 4K input is scaled for its native 1920 × 1080 display; it does not project a 4K-resolution picture.
App availability depends on firmware, region and service compatibility. The Hong Kong distributor publishes specific firmware and Netflix-update cautions, so ask Elechid to confirm your required service on the supplied version. A compatible HDMI streaming player is an alternative, purchased separately. Protected programmes may block mirroring even when ordinary phone content works; see phone casting black-screen troubleshooting.
The 10,500 mAh battery is rated locally for up to 2.5 hours in ECO mode. Runtime varies with brightness, playback and battery condition. The documented charging inputs require 15 V / 2 A: use the supplied charger, and confirm compatibility before substituting a USB-C charger or power bank. A USB-C connector alone does not establish the required output profile.

Questions about portable use
Will a long film finish on battery?
Compare its duration with the ECO-mode rating and allow a margin. Keep the charger available for longer viewing; the quoted runtime is not a full-brightness guarantee.
Can I use external sound?
Yes, through compatible Bluetooth audio or the 3.5 mm output. The built-in twin 1 W speakers favour convenience over room-filling sound.

Delivery and appointment-based Kwun Tong collection follow the shipping policy. Compare other power and streaming options in the projector collection.
