The cheapest way to put 4K streaming on a projector or an older television. Android TV 13, AV1 decoding, 16GB of storage and a microSD slot — specifications that until recently belonged to devices costing three times as much.
Key features
AV1 decoding, which matters for 2026
YouTube and Netflix both stream AV1 now. A dongle without AV1 hardware decoding falls back to software and stutters on 4K. This has it, alongside VP8, H.264 and H.265 with HDR10.
Netflix and YouTube built in
Both come preinstalled, with a remote in the box. Android TV 13 means the rest of the Play store installs normally.
16GB storage plus microSD to 64GB
Enough room for a real app collection rather than the four or five that fit on an 8GB device, and a card slot for local media.
Dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, plus Bluetooth for a game controller or a pair of headphones.

Who it's for
- Anyone adding 4K streaming to a projector or an older television at the lowest possible cost.
- Owners of a Linux-based projector who want 4K rather than the 1080p the StreamX1 outputs.
- Not a licensed-brand product. This is an OEM device, so support runs through us rather than a Hong Kong brand service centre.
- Not for anyone who wants the Google TV interface specifically. This runs Android TV 13, which is the older-style launcher.
Warranty and delivery
This is Hong Kong licensed stock supplied through the Hong Kong distributor, carrying the distributor's local warranty. The exact term is stated on the warranty card packed with the unit. Viewing is by appointment at our Kwun Tong showroom. Full terms are on the warranty policy page.
Non-TV items ship by SF Express freight-collect, with the customer paying the shipping fee, or collect free at the Kwun Tong shop between 11:00 and 19:00. Details are on the shipping policy page.
Frequently asked questions
How is this different from the StreamX1?
The StreamX1 runs Google TV and outputs 1080p; this runs Android TV 13 and outputs 4K. The StreamX1 is a Yaber-branded licensed product with a U-shape projector adapter; this is an OEM device at the same price with more storage.
Will Netflix play in HD or 4K?
Streaming services check device certification, and certification varies by app and by title. Treat 4K as supported by the hardware rather than guaranteed on every service.
