Samsung 75-Inch Crystal UHD U8500F 4K Smart TV (2025)

This is our cheapest 75-inch Samsung. Said plainly: Crystal UHD is the entry panel — direct-lit LED backlight, no quantum dot layer — so what this price buys is not flagship picture quality but the 75-inch size itself. For many living rooms, the jump from 55 to 75 inches makes a bigger difference than a panel upgrade at the same size would.

Price and stock

Price: HK$6,580 (the buy button is authoritative) · In stock

International version, not local licensed stock, with the warranty provided by us (details at the end).

Three things to know before buying

  1. The refresh rate is native 50Hz. International spec sheets use the 50Hz convention (US sheets say 60Hz); no DLG is listed, so we claim no 120Hz on this set. Drama, news and streaming run at 25 to 30 frames — 50Hz covers them fully.
  2. The HDMI ceiling is 4K 60Hz on all three ports (official wording: 4K 60Hz for HDMI 1/2/3). ALLM and VRR are officially listed, so casual console play is fine — but for 4K 120Hz gaming, see the gaming range.
  3. HDR is HDR and HDR10+ Support. HLG does not appear on the official specification, and no Samsung TV supports Dolby Vision — we write exactly what the sheet says, nothing more.

Picture

Panel / backlight LED, direct-lit (no quantum dot layer — we say so plainly)
Resolution 3840 × 2160 (4K UHD)
Refresh rate Native 50Hz (no DLG listed)
Processor Crystal Processor 4K with 4K upscaling
HDR HDR, HDR10+ Support (HLG not listed officially)
Colour / motion PurColor · Contrast Enhancer · Motion Xcelerator

Will 75 inches fit your home?

By the 4K one-arcminute limit, pixels vanish from 1.5 m; the cinema range (40° to 30° viewing angle) is roughly 2.3 to 3.1 m. Hong Kong living rooms typically seat you 2.5 to 3.5 m from the TV wall — squarely in range. What actually needs measuring is the console: with the stand this set needs 1668 mm of width and 280 mm of depth.

Sound

Output 20W, 2 channels
Soundstage OTS Lite object-tracking sound
With a soundbar Q-Symphony — TV speakers and a Samsung soundbar play together
Auto adjustment Adaptive Sound

System: Tizen, with 7 years of OS upgrades stated officially

Runs Samsung's Tizen smart platform with the mainstream apps — Netflix, YouTube and the rest. The official Samsung page states 7 years of free OS upgrades — the classic entry-TV worry is early software death, and this commitment closes it. Voice control is Bixby; Apple AirPlay streams straight from an iPhone.

Connections

HDMI 3 (all capped at 4K 60Hz; eARC supported)
USB 1 (USB-A)
Network Wired LAN · Wi-Fi 5 · Bluetooth 5.3
Broadcast DVB-T2 digital tuner plus analogue tuner, per the official specification
Gaming ALLM auto low latency · VRR, both officially listed

Hong Kong free-to-air reception: local broadcasting uses DTMB, while this international version officially lists DVB-T2. WhatsApp us before buying and we will answer for this exact model; the myTV SUPER and ViuTV apps also carry local content.

Body

Without stand 1668.1 × 957.8 × 77 mm
With stand 1668.1 × 1005.9 × 280 mm
Weight 22.4 kg without stand · 22.8 kg with stand
Wall mount VESA 400 × 300
Power 220W max · 136W typical · 0.5W standby

Delivery and installation

At 75 inches, delivery with stand installation is HK$600 and wall mounting HK$1,200 (bracket included, nothing added on the day). Walk-ups add HK$100 per floor. At 22.4 kg this is not a set to mount yourself — leave it to us. Showroom collection in Kwun Tong is free; the showroom holds stock for collection only. Full terms on the delivery and installation page.

What the next two tiers up look like

Want quantum dot colour? The Samsung Q7F 75-inch QLED (HK$7,580, in stock) — a thousand dollars more moves you from Crystal UHD to QLED.

Want Mini LED local dimming? The Samsung QN70F 75-inch Neo QLED (HK$9,980, in stock) — Neo QLED, a class up in brightness and contrast, and a class up in gaming spec.

Every 75-inch model is in the 75-inch collection; for other sizes start with the smart TV collection.

Warranty

International version, not local licensed stock, with the warranty provided by us: free on-site inspection and repair within three years, with any parts replacement quoted separately — the quote comes first and work proceeds only after you confirm. Full terms on the international-version warranty policy.

Frequently asked questions

Why does the spec say 50Hz when other sites say 60Hz?

Two market conventions. International (Thai, Malaysian, Singaporean) sheets label in the 50Hz family while US sheets use 60Hz — the same set, written two ways. This set's official international specification is native 50Hz, with no DLG listed.

Can it game?

ALLM and VRR are officially listed, so casual console play works fine. But all three HDMI ports cap at 4K 60Hz — for 4K 120Hz high-refresh gaming this is not your set; see the gaming range.

Does it support HLG or Dolby Vision?

The official specification lists HDR and HDR10+ Support. HLG does not appear on the sheet, and no Samsung TV supports Dolby Vision. We write what the specification says.

Will it receive Hong Kong free-to-air channels?

This international version officially lists a DVB-T2 tuner, while Hong Kong broadcasts DTMB. WhatsApp us before buying and we will answer for this exact model; the myTV SUPER and ViuTV apps also carry local content.

Is 75 inches too big?

Usually not. At 4K, pixels vanish from 1.5 m and the cinema range is 2.3 to 3.1 m — where most Hong Kong living rooms already sit. Measure the console instead: 1668 mm wide and 280 mm deep with the stand.
