Hisense 65-inch Q7S is a quantum-dot LCD television with direct LED backlighting and VIDAA U8.5. The 65-inch HK sheet lists 120Hz and 20W two-channel audio, without a built-in subwoofer. It is not a Mini LED model.
Refresh: size-specific figures matter
The detailed Hong Kong sheet lists 120Hz for 55/65 inches and 144Hz for 100 inches. The series headline markets native 144Hz for all three sizes, so the smaller models’ actual input timing needs confirmation. VRR, ALLM and FreeSync Premium are listed, but neither Game Mode PRO nor a motion-rate figure settles that discrepancy. Do not assume every HDMI input accepts 4K at the highest rate.
Quantum-dot picture and HDR
The direct LED backlight and quantum-dot layer are different functions: quantum dots relate to colour, while backlight design relates to light control. The HK sheet lists HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG; the marketing page additionally advertises Dolby Vision, but not established Dolby Vision IQ support. Consider room lighting and the source material rather than claiming this model cannot work in a bright room.
Audio and device planning
This size has two 10W speakers, 20W total, and no subwoofer. Four HDMI inputs, one USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0 port allow several devices; confirm which HDMI input carries your required high-refresh mode and eARC audio.

Room fit and installation planning
For this 65-inch model, measure the cabinet width and depth, stand footprint, seating position and delivery route. Screen diagonal is not the chassis, stand or carton dimension. Check cable clearance, ventilation, wall construction and the exact VESA/screw specification before wall mounting. If you use a Sound Bar, allow space without obscuring the picture or remote sensor.
Warranty, delivery and collection

Frequently asked questions
Does every size have a subwoofer?
No. The manufacturer lists a woofer for 100 inches, but not for 55 or 65 inches.
Is it VIDAA U9?
The exact Hong Kong sheet specifies VIDAA U8.5. Check the supplied firmware and app catalogue; do not assume a version from another series.
