The original StormBox Blast is for gatherings where a small speaker simply disappears into the noise. Two 30 W midwoofers and two 15 W tweeters work with passive radiators for 90 W, and an XBass button on top pushes the low end harder. The 71.28 Wh battery is rated for up to 30 hours, 32 LEDs pulse with the music, the body is IPX7 waterproof, and it can top up a phone over USB. Note that it has no microphone and no karaoke inputs.
Key features
90 W with XBass
Two 30 W midwoofers handle the bass and mids, two 15 W tweeters take care of the highs, and passive radiators add punch. Pressing the XBass button on the top panel boosts the low end, and the frequency response is 50 Hz to 20 kHz.
30 hours on a charge
Nine 2200 mAh cells make up a 71.28 Wh battery rated for up to 30 hours; Tribit's lab note says that figure was measured at 60% volume with XBass and lights off. It charges from the mains with the supplied power cord in about 3.5 hours and can charge a phone through a USB-C cable.
32 LEDs that follow the beat
Light bars on both ends hold 32 LEDs that brighten, pulse and sync to the music. A light button on the top panel switches them off when you want to save battery.
IPX7 and stereo pairing
An IPX7 rating makes it suitable for poolside and beach use, provided the rubber cover on the back is sealed. Two units can be linked in TWS stereo mode, and the Tribit app lets you pick sound modes without stopping the music.

FAQ
Can I use it for phone calls?
No. Tribit states the StormBox Blast has no built-in microphone and does not support calls.
How do I charge it and know when it is full?
Plug the supplied power cord into a wall socket; a full charge takes about 3.5 hours. With the speaker on, a red light shows charging and a white battery light shows it is full; with it off, the red light goes out when full.
How does it differ from the StormBox Blast 2?
Blast 2 has 200 W on AC power, two 6.35 mm mic inputs with reverb, Bluetooth 5.4 and an IP67 rating. This Blast has 90 W, no mic inputs, Bluetooth 5.3 and IPX7.
