Samsung 65-inch Neo QLED 8K QN800C Smart TV (International Version)
An honest word first: don't buy this television for the 8K. In 2026 there is still almost no 8K content — Netflix, Disney+ and YouTube top out at 4K for nearly everything. On this set, the 8K panel is a bonus, not the reason.
The reason is different. The QN800C is Samsung's 2023 8K flagship chassis — Mini LED zone backlighting, 70W 4.2.2-channel sound, four HDMI 2.1 ports all at 4K 120Hz, Ultra Viewing Angle, anti-glare, and an external One Connect box — now priced in the same bracket as a 2026 entry-level Neo QLED. You are buying flagship hardware at a mid-range price, and the 8K comes with it.

Same money, two directions
At 65 inches and this price, the store also carries the 2026 QN70H. Both are Neo QLED; on the spec sheet they are far apart:
| QN800C (2023) | QN70H (2026) | |
| Panel | 100Hz native, 4K 120Hz | 50Hz native, DLG 120Hz |
| HDMI 2.1 | All four at 4K 120Hz | HDMI capped at 4K 60Hz |
| Sound | 70W 4.2.2 channel, OTS+ | 20W 2 channel |
| Viewing angle | Ultra Viewing Angle, anti-glare | Standard |
| Cabling | One Connect box, one cable to the TV | Ports on the back of the set |
| Platform | 2023 Tizen | 2026 Tizen (current interface) |
Put simply: if you want the newest software with years of updates ahead, take the QN70H. If you want the panel, the sound, the ports and the viewing angle — the hardware — the QN800C has no rival at this price. The trade is that it is a three-year-old model and major software updates are largely behind it.
What 8K upscaling actually does
The Neural Quantum Processor 8K scales 4K and 1080p material up to the panel's native resolution. In Hong Kong, everything you watch day to day — 1080i free-to-air, compressed 4K streaming — goes through that upscaler, and this is Samsung's top processor of 2023. But do not expect 4K content to become "real 8K" — it becomes finer 4K, not a different world.
Gaming: all four HDMI 2.1 ports at 4K 120Hz
A PS5, an Xbox Series X and a PC can all stay connected. VRR, FreeSync Premium Pro, ALLM and Game Bar are all present; Super Ultra Wide Game View supports 21:9 and 32:9. Because of the One Connect box, every cable lives in the box and the television itself has one lead.
Sound: 70W 4.2.2, rare at this price
70W, 4.2.2 channels, Object Tracking Sound+ — sound that follows the action, with dedicated height channels. 2026 sets at this price are mostly 20W stereo. There is real spaciousness without a soundbar; to go further, Q-Symphony plays the TV speakers together with a Samsung soundbar — see the soundbar collection.
Slim One Connect: one cable to the screen
Every input — HDMI, USB, LAN, power — sits in an external box. It clips to the back of the stand or hides in the cabinet, and a single cable runs to the screen. The difference is largest on a wall: a 17.2 mm panel with no tangle of cables behind it.
What you should know before buying
- 2023 model — previous-generation Tizen, no Samsung Vision AI, limited future major updates
- No Dolby Vision — as with all Samsung sets, it uses HDR10+
- Heavy — 22.5 kg bare, VESA 400 × 300; professional installation recommended
- Power draw — up to 370W, the cost of an 8K panel at high brightness
- 8K content — effectively none. You buy this for the panel and the hardware, not for 8K
Is 65 inches right for your room?
65 inches suits a viewing distance of roughly 2.0 to 2.7 metres. The set is 1,444 mm wide. Check your sofa distance on the TV size calculator. More at this size in 65-inch smart TVs; see the full Neo QLED range.
International version: warranty and channel reception, plainly
This is an international version; the warranty comes from us, not Samsung Hong Kong: 10-day faulty exchange plus 3 years of on-site warranty (on-site labour free; parts quoted for your approval first). ⚠ On a 22.5 kg set, "on-site" is the part that matters.
On reception, plainly: the international spec sheet lists DVB-T2, which differs from Hong Kong's DTMB, so our technician tests aerial reception during installation. If your building's aerial signal is already weak, WhatsApp us before ordering. Set-top boxes, Netflix and YouTube are unaffected.
Delivery and installation
Delivery within Hong Kong. Installation is a paid service — 65-inch tabletop and wall-mount rates and walk-up building arrangements are in the FAQ. Wall mounting uses VESA 400 × 300. The Kwun Tong showroom holds stock for viewing by appointment.
Frequently asked questions
Is an 8K TV still worth buying in 2026?
For the 8K, no — there is no content. For this set's Mini LED panel, 70W 4.2.2 sound, four HDMI 2.1 ports and One Connect box, it depends where your budget sits — no 2026 set at this price has all of that hardware. What is an 8K TV? Do you really need one? takes the question apart.
Is the QN800C 144Hz?
No. Samsung's spec sheet lists a 100Hz panel with Motion Xcelerator Turbo+ at 4K 120Hz. All four HDMI 2.1 ports run 4K 120Hz.
Does it support Dolby Vision?
No. It uses HDR10+ and HLG.
How far can the One Connect box sit from the screen?
A single One Connect cable links box and screen; the standard length reaches from a cabinet to a wall-mounted set. The box needs its own mains connection.
What is the warranty?
International version, warranty from Elechid: 10-day faulty exchange, and three years of free on-site inspection and repair with parts quoted separately. Full terms in the FAQ.
