Samsung 65 Inch QLED Q7F 4K Smart TV (2025, International Version)
The Samsung Q7F is the best-value television in our 65-inch range. Quantum Dot colour, Samsung's Q4 AI Processor, Quantum HDR and the Tizen platform — at HK$4,980, which is less than most brands charge for a plain LED set at this size.
It is built for watching rather than playing: films, series, sport, streaming and everyday broadcast, on a 65-inch 4K panel with a slim AirSlim profile that suits a normal living room.
HK$4,980, reduced from HK$9,280 — a 2025 model, not old clearance stock. In stock now, with Hong Kong delivery and optional installation.
Before You Buy: The HK$400 Question
We'd rather you knew this before ordering than after. The Q7F has a native 60Hz panel. That is fine — better than fine — for films, series, sport and streaming. It is not enough for a PS5 or Xbox Series X to show what it can do.
If you game on a console, the Samsung Q8F 65" is HK$5,380 — four hundred dollars more — and adds 120Hz, VRR and ALLM. That is the whole difference, and it's a real one. We wrote a full Q7F vs Q8F comparison if you want the detail.
Here's the honest ladder at 65 inch:
| Model | Price | What you gain |
|---|---|---|
| Samsung U8000F | HK$3,980 | Crystal UHD — no quantum dot layer |
| Samsung Q7F (this one) | HK$4,980 | Quantum Dot colour, Quantum HDR |
| Samsung Q8F | HK$5,380 | 120Hz, VRR, ALLM — the console pick |
| Samsung QN70F | HK$5,980 | Mini LED — local dimming, much better contrast |
Short version: if you don't game, buy this one. If you game on a console, spend the HK$400. If your living room is very bright, HK$1,000 more gets you Mini LED.

Quantum Dot Colour
QLED adds a quantum dot layer over the LED backlight. In practice that means noticeably more saturated reds, greens and blues than a plain LED set, held at higher brightness — the difference between the U8000F at HK$3,980 and this at HK$4,980 is exactly that layer, and it is visible on the shop floor.
What quantum dot does not change is black level. The backlight here is direct-lit with no local dimming, so in a dark room blacks will read as dark grey. If that matters to you, the step is Mini LED (QN70F, HK$5,980) or OLED (from HK$9,980 at this size).
Q4 AI Processor and 4K Upscaling
The Q4 AI Processor handles sharpness, clarity and colour tone in real time. 4K AI Upscaling lifts HD broadcast and lower-bitrate streams closer to 4K — which is where most of the content on a Hong Kong television actually comes from.
Quantum HDR
Quantum HDR and HDR10+ widen the gap between bright and dark areas within a scene. Samsung does not support Dolby Vision on any of its televisions; it uses HDR10+ instead, and most streaming services carry both.
Motion Xcelerator
The panel is 60Hz native. Motion Xcelerator reduces blur in fast scenes through motion processing rather than a faster panel — it helps with football and action films, and it is not a substitute for the 120Hz panel in the Q8F.
Tizen, Samsung TV Plus and Smart Home
Tizen gives direct access to Netflix, YouTube, Disney+ and the rest without a separate streaming box. Samsung TV Plus adds free live channels with no subscription. SmartThings turns the television into a smart-home hub, and Samsung Knox handles device security. Voice control works through Bixby, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
Audio
Object Tracking Sound Lite moves sound with the action on screen. Q-Symphony lets a Samsung soundbar play alongside the television's own speakers instead of muting them — see the soundbar range, from HK$680.
AirSlim Design
A narrow bezel and slim profile keep a 65-inch panel from dominating the room. Wall-mounted, it sits close to flush.
International Version vs Hong Kong Local Version
- Identical — panel, processor, quantum dot layer, HDR, audio, smart platform, physical design. It is the same television.
- Digital tuner — international-version sets list DVB-T2 rather than Hong Kong's DTMB. We have tested local free-to-air reception on Samsung international sets in Hong Kong and our technician tunes the channels during installation. If aerial signal in your building is weak, or you rely on an aerial rather than streaming for local channels, please contact us before installation.
- Warranty — covered directly by Elechid rather than Samsung Hong Kong: free replacement within 10 days if faulty, plus 3 years free on-site inspection and repair (replacement parts quoted separately).
Delivery and Installation
- Hong Kong-wide delivery with optional wall-mount installation. Our technician tunes local channels and sets up your streaming apps.
- At 65 inch, access is rarely a problem — the body is 145cm wide, so a cabinet of 150cm or more works well.
- Concrete walls take the load without preparation. Plasterboard and partition walls need assessment first — send us a photo on WhatsApp (+852 9847 9793).
Frequently Asked Questions
How far should I sit from a 65 inch TV?
Two accepted standards give different answers. THX's 40° guideline puts a 65 inch set at about 2 metres — cinema-like. SMPTE's 30° guideline puts it at about 2.7 metres, a more relaxed framing. Anywhere between is comfortable. If you sit 2.5m or more away, 75 inch will suit you better.
Is the Q7F good for gaming?
For casual play, yes — Game Hub, AI Game Mode and Game Bar all work well. For a PS5 or Xbox Series X, no: the panel is 60Hz and there's no VRR or ALLM. The Q8F at HK$5,380 is the one to buy for that, and it's only HK$400 more.
Does it support HDR?
Yes — Quantum HDR and HDR10+. Not Dolby Vision; Samsung doesn't support it on any model.
QLED or Mini LED at this price?
QLED gives you colour; Mini LED gives you colour and black level, because it dims the backlight in zones. The QN70F is HK$5,980 — HK$1,000 more than this. If your living room gets real daylight, or you watch films with the lights off, it's worth the difference. If you mostly watch with the lights on, the Q7F is enough.
What does "international version" mean, and is it covered?
Original manufacturer stock; the interface and features are the same as a local-market set, and the differences are in the distribution channel and bundled accessories. Warranty comes directly from us: 10-day replacement plus 3 years on-site service. Other purchase questions are in the FAQ.
Can I see one before buying?
Yes. Our showroom is at Room 403, Block A, Chung Mei Centre, 15 Hing Yip Street, Kwun Tong, open 11:00–19:00. WhatsApp +852 9847 9793 to confirm it's on display.
