Quantum dots are the reason to move up from the A6N to the Q6S. Hisense's Hi-QLED layer widens the colour volume the panel can produce, which shows most clearly on saturated content — sport, animation, nature documentaries — where a conventional LED set starts to look washed out. The rest is a sensible mid-range package: Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos decoding, HDMI 2.1 with eARC, and VIDAA running the interface.

Hi-QLED colour on a 4K panel
The Q6S uses Hisense's Hi-QLED quantum dot layer over a direct LED backlight, so colour holds its intensity as brightness rises instead of drifting pale at the top of the range. Hisense pairs it with an AI 4K Upscaler for lower-resolution sources and an AI Light Sensor that adjusts the picture to the room.
A 60Hz panel with a 48–60Hz VRR window
This is the specification to be clear about. The Q6S panel refresh rate is 60Hz, and the variable refresh rate window Hisense publishes is 48–60Hz, with ALLM supported. Hisense also markets a 144Hz Game Mode for the series, but that is a mode rather than the panel's native refresh rate, and the 48–60Hz VRR figure is the one that describes what a console will actually sync to.
Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and HDMI 2.1 with eARC
Dolby Vision is supported for HDR, and HDR10+ is decoded. On the audio side the set carries a 2.0-channel system rated at 20W total (2 × 10W) with Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual X processing. HDMI 2.1 with eARC means a single cable can pass a lossless Atmos bitstream to a soundbar or AV receiver, which is the sensible path if you want the format to do anything meaningful.
VIDAA, with the picture tools left accessible
The Q6S runs VIDAA U9, Hisense's own platform, with hands-free voice control, Share to TV casting and EzPlay 3.0. Filmmaker Mode is included, along with an Eye Care mode for long sessions. VIDAA boots quickly and stays out of the way, though it carries a smaller app catalogue than Google TV.

Warranty and delivery
This is Hong Kong licensed stock carrying the manufacturer's Hong Kong warranty. The exact warranty term is stated on the warranty card supplied with the set. Viewing is by appointment at our Kwun Tong showroom.
Delivery and installation are available as paid services and are not included in the product price. For a 65-inch set, delivery with tabletop installation is HK$300, or delivery with wall mounting is HK$600 with the bracket included. Collection at our Kwun Tong shop is free. Walk-up buildings without a lift add HK$100 per floor, with no cap. Discovery Bay adds HK$500. Orders for Cheung Chau and Lamma are delivered to the Central pier for self-collection, with no installation.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Hi-QLED and ordinary LED?
Hi-QLED is Hisense's quantum dot layer, which converts backlight into purer red and green primaries before the light reaches the panel. The result is a wider colour gamut and better colour retention at high brightness than a plain LED set. The backlight itself is still direct LED rather than Mini LED.
Does the 144Hz Game Mode mean this is a 144Hz television?
No. Hisense publishes a 60Hz panel refresh rate for the Q6S, and the VRR range is 48–60Hz. The 144Hz Game Mode is a mode Hisense lists for the series, not the native refresh rate of the panel, and we would not recommend buying the Q6S on that basis.
Can I connect a soundbar without losing Dolby Atmos?
Yes. The Q6S has HDMI 2.1 with eARC, which carries a full Dolby Atmos bitstream to a compatible soundbar or receiver over one cable. The built-in 2.0-channel, 20W speakers handle Atmos as a virtualised effect only.
