Hisense 85-Inch U7SE Mini LED 144Hz 4K TV

The U7SE is Hisense's Mini LED series for people who want a very large, bright picture and proper gaming support in one set. At 85 inches it gets the biggest backlight in the range: Hisense Hong Kong lists 264 local dimming zones for this size, against 160 on the 65-inch and 180 on the 75-inch. The rest is shared across sizes, including quantum dot colour, a native 144Hz panel with AMD FreeSync Premium, Dolby Vision and HDR10+, and Devialet-tuned sound with a built-in subwoofer. It is also the only U7SE size rated Grade 1 on the Hong Kong energy label.

264 dimming zones at 85 inches

Hisense Hong Kong's spec sheet gives the 85-inch U7SE 264 local dimming zones, the highest count in the series and 104 more than the 65-inch. On a screen this wide, more zones mean each one covers a smaller patch of the picture, so a bright subtitle or a moon in a night sky lifts less of the surrounding black. Typical brightness is listed at 500 nits with peaks of 700 nits, and the Hi-QLED quantum dot layer handles colour saturation.

Native 144Hz for consoles and PCs

The panel runs at a native 144Hz, and Hisense lists VRR, ALLM and AMD FreeSync Premium for smooth, tear-resistant play when frame rates move around. All four HDMI inputs are rated for 4K, and one carries eARC for a soundbar or receiver. Hisense Hong Kong does not say which inputs are HDMI 2.1, so if you plan to connect a PS5 and a gaming PC at the same time, ask us to confirm the port layout first. A Game Bar overlay shows refresh rate and VRR status on screen.

Devialet-tuned sound with a subwoofer

Audio is rated at 2 x 10W main drivers plus a 20W built-in subwoofer, 40W in total, with Dolby Atmos decoding and tuning by Devialet. It is the same system as the smaller sizes, so the 85-inch gains no extra power, but the subwoofer gives films and sport more weight than the thin two-channel speakers many large TVs rely on. If you want more later, Hi-Concerto lets a compatible Hisense soundbar play together with the TV's own speakers.

Planning delivery and wall mounting

The set weighs 33.1 kg without its stand and 33.5 kg with it, and ships in a 2060 x 1260 x 173 mm carton weighing 48 kg. Measure the lift car, doorways and any tight corridor turn before ordering, and tell us if the building is walk-up. Hisense Hong Kong does not publish the VESA pattern, so we confirm bracket fit on the actual unit. Plasterboard false walls need checking before any mount, and wall mounting is available as a paid service.

Warranty and delivery

This is Hong Kong licensed stock carrying the manufacturer's Hong Kong warranty. The exact warranty term is stated on the warranty card supplied with the set. Viewing is available by appointment at our Kwun Tong showroom.

For an 85-inch set, delivery with tabletop installation is HK$800, or delivery with wall mounting is HK$1,500 with the bracket included. Collection at the Kwun Tong showroom is free, and kerbside drop-off (we bring it to street level) is HK$200. Walk-up buildings without a lift add HK$100 per floor, with no cap. Discovery Bay adds HK$500. Cheung Chau and Lamma Island orders are delivered to the Central pier for self-collection, without installation. Before ordering, please tell us the lift size, the door and corridor width, and whether the TV wall is solid or plasterboard. Installation is a paid service and is not included in the price of the set.

Hisense lists the carton at 2060 x 1260 x 173 mm and 48 kg, so the long side is over two metres. Measure the lift car's internal diagonal, the door widths and any tight corridor turn before ordering. If the building has no lift, tell us in advance so we can plan enough people for the carry up the stairs.

Which smart platform does it use?

The U7SE runs Hisense's VIDAA platform, not Google TV. Hisense Hong Kong lists Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video and Disney+, and the set supports AirPlay 2 and voice control you can use without picking up the remote.
