Hisense 85-Inch UR9S RGB Mini LED 180Hz 4K TV

The UR9S is Hisense's RGB Mini LED series, and Hong Kong gets it in one size only: 85 inches. Instead of a blue backlight passed through a colour conversion layer, each backlight unit carries separate red, green and blue LEDs, which Hisense uses to claim up to 100% BT.2020 colour coverage. Hisense Hong Kong's spec sheet lists 1,320 dimming zones, 4,000 nits peak brightness, a native 180Hz panel and a 4.1.2-channel, 90W sound system tuned by Devialet. The Obsidian anti-reflection screen and Dolby Vision IQ round it out for bright Hong Kong living rooms.

RGB Mini LED with 1,320 zones

Each backlight unit uses individual red, green and blue diodes, so colour is produced at the light source rather than filtered out of white or blue light. Hisense Hong Kong lists 1,320 local dimming zones for the 85-inch set, 800 nits typical brightness and 4,000 nits peak, and its feature graphics claim up to 100% of BT.2020 colour coverage with Pantone validation. The Hi-View AI Engine RGB balances colour and brightness zone by zone.

Obsidian screen for bright rooms

The Obsidian panel, with anti-reflection and anti-glare treatment, is aimed at living rooms with big windows and ceiling downlights. It is designed to absorb ambient light, so blacks stay dark in daytime viewing and reflections of lamps and windows are less distracting. Dolby Vision IQ adjusts HDR tone mapping to the light level in the room, while Filmmaker Mode and IMAX Enhanced certification are there for film nights.

180Hz gaming and a USB-C port

The panel refreshes natively at 180Hz, with VRR, ALLM and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro listed on Hisense Hong Kong's product page. There are three HDMI inputs, all shown as HDMI 2.1 on Hisense's graphics, plus a USB-C port that can mirror a compatible laptop or phone, read files and charge devices at up to 10W. If you have more than three HDMI sources, an eARC soundbar or receiver with extra inputs can act as the hub.

4.1.2 sound, weight and wall mounting

Audio is a 4.1.2-channel system rated at 90W: two 15W main drivers, two 10W side drivers, two 10W up-firing drivers and a 20W subwoofer, tuned by Devialet with Dolby Atmos. The panel is 47 mm deep and weighs 47.4 kg on its own, or 52 kg on its pedestal stand. Hisense's Australian spec for the same 85-inch hardware gives a 600 x 400 mm VESA pattern, so plan for a heavy-duty bracket on a solid wall; plasterboard false walls need checking first.

Warranty and delivery

This is Hong Kong licensed stock carrying the manufacturer's Hong Kong warranty. The exact warranty term is stated on the warranty card supplied with the set. Viewing is available by appointment at our Kwun Tong showroom.

For an 85-inch set, delivery with tabletop installation is HK$800, or delivery with wall mounting is HK$1,500 with the bracket included. Collection at the Kwun Tong showroom is free, and kerbside drop-off (we bring it to street level) is HK$200. Walk-up buildings without a lift add HK$100 per floor, with no cap. Discovery Bay adds HK$500. Cheung Chau and Lamma Island orders are delivered to the Central pier for self-collection, without installation. Before ordering, please tell us the lift size, the door and corridor width, and whether the TV wall is solid or plasterboard. Installation is a paid service and is not included in the price of the set.

What does RGB Mini LED change compared with a normal Mini LED TV?

A standard Mini LED set uses blue or white LEDs behind a colour conversion layer. The UR9S backlight has separate red, green and blue LEDs, so colour is created at the source. Hisense claims up to 100% BT.2020 coverage and steadier colour at high brightness, which shows most in saturated HDR scenes such as sunsets, neon signs and football kits.

Can it be wall mounted, and what should I check?

Yes. The panel weighs 47.4 kg without the stand, and Hisense's Australian spec for the same 85-inch hardware gives a 600 x 400 mm VESA pattern with M8 screws. It needs a solid wall, and plasterboard false walls must be checked before drilling. Wall mounting is available as a paid service, and we confirm bracket fit when you book.

Will the 85-inch carton fit in my lift?

Hisense lists the carton at 2060 x 1260 x 189 mm with a gross weight of 67.2 kg, so the long side is over two metres. Measure the lift car's height and diagonal, the door widths and any tight corridor turn before ordering. Tell us if the building is walk-up, because a box this size and weight needs extra hands on the stairs.
