A microSD Express card for devices with a microSD Express slot, such as newer handheld game consoles, where it gives extra room for games. It uses the SD Express 7.1 standard over PCIe Gen 3 x1 with NVMe, rated at up to 880MB/s read.
Key features
- PCIe and NVMe speeds: Kodak rates it at up to 880MB/s read, and up to 550MB/s (128GB) or 700MB/s (256GB, 512GB) write, in microSD Express devices.
- Works in regular slots too: In devices without Express support it falls back to UHS-I U3 V30 mode, at UHS-I speeds rather than Express speeds.
- IPX7 rating: Kodak states IPX7 water resistance for temporary immersion.

FAQ
Will it reach 880MB/s in my phone or a normal card reader?
No. Express speeds need a device or reader with microSD Express support; in other slots the card runs in UHS-I mode.
