The headline figure on Major V is 100+ hours of wireless playtime, which in daily commuting terms usually means charging once every week or two. These are on-ear wireless headphones weighing 186g and folding flat, aimed at commuting and long working sessions rather than critical desktop listening.
Key features
100+ hours of playtime with wireless charging
Marshall quotes over 100 hours of wireless playtime, with a full recharge taking about 3 hours. A 15-minute top-up returns 15 hours of playtime when you are heading out the door. Major V also supports wireless charging, so it can sit on a charging pad instead of being cabled up every night.
40mm dynamic drivers
Major V uses 40mm dynamic drivers rated at 106 dB SPL (100mV @ 1kHz) with a 32 Ω impedance and a 20–20,000 Hz frequency response. At 32 Ω these are easy to drive, so a phone or laptop headphone output reaches sensible levels without a separate amplifier.
Bluetooth 5.3, multipoint and Auracast
Connection is Bluetooth 5.3 with SBC, MPEG-2 AAC and LC3 codec support, LE Audio-ready and Auracast-supported. Multipoint keeps a phone and a computer connected simultaneously, so an incoming call can be answered without dropping the laptop connection first. Stated wireless range is 10 metres.
Customisable M-button, folding design, 3.5mm in/out
The M-button on the earcup is assignable in the Marshall Bluetooth app, which also handles EQ and over-the-air firmware updates. The headphones fold for storage, and a 3.5mm input/output lets you switch to a cable when the battery is flat or an in-flight system needs a wired connection. Note that Major V carries no water-resistance rating.

Who it's for
- Daily commuters who would rather not think about charging; 100+ hours is roughly a weekly top-up.
- Anyone juggling a phone and a work laptop who needs multipoint to switch between calls and music.
- Buyers who want something light at 186g that folds down and travels easily.
- Who it isn't for: anyone who wants active noise cancellation, or who finds on-ear pads uncomfortable over long sessions. Major V is an on-ear design and ANC is not listed in its specifications, so for silence on a plane or the MTR an over-ear noise-cancelling model is the better choice.

FAQ
Does Major V have active noise cancellation?
ANC is not listed in the official specifications. These are on-ear headphones relying on passive isolation from the earpads, which is fine around town but will not remove aircraft engine noise or MTR rumble. If cancellation is the priority, look at a different model.
Can I keep using them when the battery is flat?
Yes. Major V has a 3.5mm input/output, so plugging in a cable keeps them working. That also covers in-flight entertainment systems and any source without Bluetooth.
What can the M-button do?
The M-button is customisable and is assigned in the Marshall Bluetooth app, which also handles EQ adjustment and over-the-air firmware updates. Common assignments are switching EQ presets or triggering a voice assistant.
