Samsung Q80C 98-inch QLED 4K
The 98-inch Q80C is a quantum-dot LCD TV with Direct Full Array backlighting and Quantum HDR+. Its large picture suits a carefully planned film, sports or gaming room; Direct Full Array must not be relabelled Mini LED. Seating, source quality and delivery access matter more than a blanket claim that every room suits this size.

Motion and source compatibility
The AU reference lists a 100Hz native baseline and up to 4K120 on all four HDMI inputs. ALLM, FreeSync Premium Pro and HGiG support compatible gaming setups. A console needs a supported 120Hz mode, game, cable and settings—not 144Hz output. These features do not guarantee every game reaches 120fps or provide a measured input-lag result.
Processing, HDR and 40W sound
The current AU product table names Neural Quantum Processor 4K. Confirm the complete supplied regional model when matching this processor reference. Upscaling adapts a lower-resolution source to the screen without making every source native 4K.
Quantum HDR+, HDR10+ Adaptive/Gaming and HLG are explicitly listed. Audio is 40W 2.2-channel, with Dolby Atmos, OTS Lite, Active Voice Amplifier, Adaptive Sound+ and Q-Symphony. Q-Symphony needs a compatible separately purchased Samsung Sound Bar.

These reference measurements describe the chassis and stand, not theoretical visible-screen dimensions. Check the cabinet width, supported stand positions, wall structure and bracket load rating. A narrow stand setting does not make a cabinet narrower than the television automatically suitable.
The AU carton is 2379 × 1431 × 350mm and 87.8kg. Check lift doors, turns, doorway height and the full delivery route. The 2180.6mm chassis width and 480 × 387.3mm stand footprint are different measurements; the furniture must safely support the whole television.
Streaming and everyday connections
Tizen provides the smart-TV interface. Apps, AI functions, language support and connected-device features vary by regional model and service region; some require a Samsung Account, internet access, compatible devices or subscriptions. Confirm the services you use rather than assuming an overseas app list or tuner provides Hong Kong reception.
