Sixty hours on a charge, with ANC switched on, is the headline number for the MOMENTUM 4 Wireless. Underneath it sits a 42 mm dynamic driver, aptX Adaptive support, hybrid adaptive noise cancelling and two MEMS microphones per side. It is aimed squarely at long-haul flights, daily commutes, and anyone who resents charging things.

60 hours of playback, 5-minute top-up for 4 hours
A built-in 700 mAh lithium-ion battery is rated for up to 60 hours of music over Bluetooth with ANC active. A full charge takes roughly 2 hours, and 5 minutes on the cable buys about 4 hours of playback. Charging is over USB-C at 5 V, 800 mA maximum, so a normal phone charger or laptop port is fine.
aptX Adaptive and full codec coverage
Bluetooth 5.2, class 1, with SBC, AAC, aptX and aptX Adaptive, supporting the A2DP, AVRCP and HFP profiles. On Android, aptX Adaptive shifts bitrate with conditions; on iPhone the AAC path is fully supported. Transmission runs between 2,402 MHz and 2,480 MHz.
Hybrid adaptive ANC and Transparency Mode
Noise cancelling is a hybrid adaptive system fed by two MEMS microphones per side with beamforming, the mic array covering 50 Hz to 10 kHz. Transparency Mode lets external sound through without taking the headphones off, which is what you want for platform announcements or a quick word with a colleague.
42 mm drivers and app tuning
The 42 mm dynamic drivers cover 6 Hz to 22 kHz at 106 dB SPL (1 kHz / 0 dB FS), with THD under 0.3% at 1 kHz / 100 dB SPL. Speaker impedance is quoted as 470 ohms active and 60 ohms passive. The Sennheiser Smart Control Plus app adds a built-in EQ and sound modes, and a 3.5 mm to 2.5 mm audio cable is supplied for wired listening.

FAQ
Can I use them when the battery is flat?
Yes. The supplied 3.5 mm to 2.5 mm audio cable connects straight to a player or an in-flight entertainment system. Sennheiser quotes a passive speaker impedance of 60 ohms, so they will drive without power.
Do iPhone users lose out by missing aptX Adaptive?
iOS devices do not support the aptX family and use AAC instead. The MOMENTUM 4 Wireless supports AAC fully, so iPhone users get a normal high-quality wireless connection; aptX Adaptive is an Android-side benefit.
How is the 60-hour figure measured?
Sennheiser quotes up to 60 hours over Bluetooth with ANC enabled. Real battery life varies with volume, codec, whether Transparency Mode is running and ambient temperature, so day-to-day use will land under the quoted figure — while still being long for the class.
