Mini LED backlighting has spent the last few years drifting down from flagship territory into ordinary living-room sets, and the Skyworth X66H is one of the clearest examples of that shift at 65 inches. It pairs a quantum-dot colour layer with a locally dimmed Mini LED backlight, runs Google TV, and accepts Dolby Vision — a combination that used to sit a tier or two higher. What it does not chase is high-frame-rate gaming, and that trade-off shapes who should buy it.

QD-Mini LED backlight with quantum-dot colour
Skyworth uses its fifth-generation QD-Mini LED display technology here, combining a Mini LED backlight with local dimming and a quantum-dot layer covering 93% of DCI-P3. Local dimming darkens the backlight behind dark parts of the image rather than lifting the whole screen, which is what separates this from an edge-lit LED set. Skyworth does not publish a dimming zone count or peak brightness figure for the 65-inch model, so we do not quote one.
Dolby Vision and HDR10+ both supported
The X66H accepts both of the major dynamic-metadata HDR formats, Dolby Vision and HDR10+, alongside standard HDR10. That matters in practice because Hong Kong streaming catalogues are split — Netflix and Disney+ lean on Dolby Vision, while other services and many 4K files carry HDR10+. Having both means you are not relying on a fallback conversion whichever service you open.
60Hz panel with 120Hz MEMC motion processing
The panel's native refresh rate is 60Hz. Skyworth applies 120Hz MEMC motion compensation on top, which interpolates frames to smooth panning shots, but the underlying panel still refreshes 60 times a second. For broadcast TV, streaming and film this is a non-issue; for a PS5 or Xbox Series X running a 120fps mode, it is a real limitation and you should look at a 144Hz set instead.
Google TV, three HDMI 2.1 inputs and a Hong Kong tuner
The set runs Google TV with voice search, so the Hong Kong app catalogue, Chromecast built in and Google Assistant are all native rather than bolted on. Connectivity covers three HDMI 2.1 inputs, two USB 2.0 ports, optical digital audio out, LAN, and an AV input. Audio is handled by a Dolby Atmos decode path with DBX-TV processing.

Warranty and delivery
This is Hong Kong licensed stock (行貨) carrying the manufacturer's Hong Kong warranty. The exact warranty term is stated on the warranty card supplied with the set. Viewing is available by appointment at our Kwun Tong showroom.
Delivery with tabletop installation is HK$300, or delivery with wall mounting is HK$600 with the bracket included. Collection at the Kwun Tong shop is free. Walk-up buildings without a lift add HK$100 per floor, with no cap. Discovery Bay adds HK$500. Cheung Chau and Lamma Island orders are delivered to the Central pier for self-collection, without installation. Installation is a paid service and is not included in the price of the set.
Frequently asked questions
Will it pick up Hong Kong free-to-air channels without a set-top box?
Yes. The set has a built-in digital terrestrial tuner, so connecting a rooftop or indoor aerial gives you TVB and HOY channels directly. No separate DTMB decoder box is required.
Is the 120Hz figure a real refresh rate?
No, and we would rather be straight about it. The panel itself is 60Hz native; the 120Hz figure refers to MEMC motion compensation, which generates intermediate frames for smoother motion. It improves the look of panning shots but does not let the TV accept a 120Hz input signal.
Does it support Dolby Vision from a streaming stick or disc player?
It does. Dolby Vision passes over the HDMI 2.1 inputs as well as through the built-in Google TV apps, so an Apple TV 4K, a Dolby Vision Blu-ray player or a games console configured for Dolby Vision will all be recognised.
