If you want the brightest, most finely zoned picture TCL offers in a 55-inch SQD-Mini LED set, this is it. The 55-inch C8L carries 1,008 precise dimming zones and a published peak of HDR 3,000 nits, adds a low-reflection screen and Wi-Fi 6, and runs everything at 144Hz native. Bear in mind that the 55-inch is a smaller step above the C7L than the 65-inch versions are — see the FAQ below for the exact differences.

1,008 dimming zones and HDR 3,000 nits
TCL specifies the 55-inch C8L at 1,008 precise dimming zones with peak brightness up to HDR 3,000 nits. Zone count and brightness work together: a high peak without enough zones produces visible blooming, and many zones without headroom leave highlights flat. At 55 inches, that zone count is spread over a smaller screen area, so each zone covers a relatively small part of the picture.
WHVA 2.0 Ultra panel with low-reflection film
TCL lists a WHVA 2.0 Ultra panel for the C8L with an Ultra Color Filter and a 0.5% low-reflection film, reaching up to 100% of BT.2020 colour. The low-reflection finish matters in Hong Kong flats where windows face the TV, because it keeps daytime viewing from turning into a reflection of the room. HDR support covers Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10 and HLG, and the set is IMAX Enhanced certified.
Audio by Bang & Olufsen with Beosonic
Sound is Audio by Bang & Olufsen, tuned by the same engineers who work on Bang & Olufsen's own speakers, with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. The Beosonic control lets you change the sound character from a single on-screen pad. In a bedroom or smaller room the built-in system carries dialogue and music well; a soundbar will still add low-end weight for films.

The panel is 144Hz native with a VRR range of 48–288Hz and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. Warranty and delivery
This is Hong Kong licensed stock (行貨) carrying the manufacturer's Hong Kong warranty. The exact warranty term is stated on the warranty card supplied with the set. Viewing is available by appointment at our Kwun Tong showroom.
For a 55-inch set, delivery with tabletop installation is HK$300, or delivery with wall mounting is HK$600 with the bracket included. Collection at the Kwun Tong shop is free. Walk-up buildings without a lift add HK$100 per floor, with no cap. Discovery Bay adds HK$500. Cheung Chau and Lamma Island orders are delivered to the Central pier for self-collection, without installation. Installation is a paid service and is not included in the price of the set.
