Fifty-five inches is where a lot of Hong Kong bedrooms and smaller living rooms top out, and the M550NK is Toshiba's quantum-dot answer for that space. It is a 60Hz QLED with Dolby Vision IQ, Dolby Atmos through a 2.1-channel speaker system with its own subwoofer, and Google TV — licensed stock with the local digital tuner built in. It is a film-and-drama set, not a gaming one, and we say so plainly below.

Quantum-dot colour on a 55-inch panel
The quantum-dot layer widens the colour range beyond a standard LED set; Toshiba Hong Kong's spec sheet puts the 55-inch model at 122% of BT.709. Toshiba also lists multi-zone backlight control, which helps dark scenes avoid the flat grey look of a uniformly lit backlight.
Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+
Both dynamic HDR formats are supported, so Netflix and Disney+ titles mastered in Dolby Vision play in that format, and Dolby Vision IQ adjusts the picture to the light level in your room. That matters in a bedroom, where the set is often watched with only a bedside lamp on.
2.1 sound with a built-in subwoofer
The 55-inch M550NK carries two 10W main speakers plus a 20W subwoofer, with Dolby Atmos decoding. For a bedroom or a compact living room that is often enough on its own, without a soundbar under the screen.
60Hz panel, with HSR 120Hz stated honestly
Toshiba's own spec lists the refresh rate as "60 Hz (HSR 120Hz)". HSR is a high-speed refresh mode for smoother motion; the panel itself is native 60Hz. Warranty and delivery
This is Hong Kong licensed stock carrying the manufacturer's Hong Kong warranty. The exact warranty term is stated on the warranty card supplied with the set. Viewing is available by appointment at our Kwun Tong showroom.
For a 55-inch set, delivery with tabletop installation is HK$300, or delivery with wall mounting is HK$600 with the bracket included. Collection at the Kwun Tong shop is free. Walk-up buildings add HK$100 per floor with no cap. Discovery Bay adds HK$500. Cheung Chau and Lamma are delivered to the Central pier for self-collection, with no installation.
Frequently asked questions
Is the M550NK a 120Hz TV? No. Toshiba lists it as 60Hz with an HSR 120Hz mode. HSR smooths motion processing, but the panel refreshes at 60Hz, so a console will not output 120Hz to it.
Does it have a subwoofer? Yes. The 55-inch model has two 10W main speakers and a 20W subwoofer in a 2.1-channel layout, with Dolby Atmos.
Will it receive Hong Kong free-to-air channels? Yes. This is Hong Kong licensed stock with the local digital terrestrial tuner built in, so free-to-air channels come in through the aerial socket with no set-top box.
