Compare panorama for simultaneous wide coverage, motorized pan-tilt for changing direction, and optical zoom for a narrower optical view. “Dual lens” describes lens count. It does not establish panoramic stitching, optical zoom or automatic tracking.
Understand the four configurations
| Configuration | Purpose | Important distinction |
|---|---|---|
| 180-degree panorama | A broad view at the same moment | Not the sum of a camera’s turning range |
| Motorized pan-tilt/PTZ | Change viewing direction remotely | The original area may leave the view |
| Optical zoom | Change optical framing | Practical detail still depends on scene and distance |
| Hybrid/digital zoom | Closer framing through lens changes or processing | A hybrid multiplier is not an optical multiplier |
Examples from the store
| Model | Configuration to compare | Check first |
|---|---|---|
| Reolink Duo 3 PoE | Dual-lens stitched panorama and PoE | Cabling and the required overview |
| Reolink Argus 4 Pro | Panoramic battery Wi-Fi configuration | Coverage, charging and recording mode |
| Reolink TrackMix PoE | Dual lenses, movement and tracking | Target type, obstructions and recorder support |
| EZVIZ CB60 Dual | Dual lenses, horizontal movement and hybrid zoom | Connectivity, storage and viewing requirements |
These are different system directions, not a controlled performance ranking. Use each product’s configuration radar to identify verified features, then read the evidence and qualifications.
Panoramic pixels span the whole image
Duo 3 PoE’s published output is 7680 × 2160 across a 180-degree panorama. Total pixels do not establish equal identification detail at every distance or direction. Target size in the image, light and movement still matter.
Choose by the task
- For both sides of an entrance at once, assess panorama and edge obstructions.
- For active inspection in different directions, compare motorized movement.
- For detail at a fixed position, plan framing and focal length before a digital-zoom number.
- For automatic tracking, verify the supported targets and operating modes of the exact camera.

Frequently asked questions
Does 360-degree turning mean a simultaneous 360-degree picture?
No. Movement range and instantaneous field of view are separate specifications.
Are two lenses always clearer?
No. Panoramic, wide/telephoto and upper/lower viewing designs solve different tasks.
Does a higher radar score mean longer identification range?
No. It compares verified configuration, not measured image quality or identification distance.
