Samsung R85H 55-inch Micro RGB 4K

R85H uses red, green and blue LEDs as the backlight for an LCD screen. This differs from self-emissive Micro LED and OLED: the LCD layer still forms the picture. Micro RGB AI Engine and Micro RGB HDR+ provide its processing and HDR features; they are not the R95H’s Pro versions.

Motion and source compatibility

The 55-inch Singapore reference lists 144Hz VRR with a 100Hz native baseline; the Canadian 65-inch page lists 144Hz VRR without a separate native label. Both document 4K144 on all four HDMI inputs. DLG240 is a separate reduced-resolution mode: the Singapore footnote calls it 2K240, with a compatible PC and Game Mode required. It is not 4K240 or proof of a native 144Hz panel.

Sound and room planning

The reviewed 55-inch Singapore and 65-inch Canadian tables list 30W two-channel sound, Dolby Atmos, OTS Lite, Adaptive Sound Pro and Q-Symphony. Q-Symphony requires a compatible Samsung Sound Bar, sold separately; it does not mean any external speaker can play together with the TV.

Micro RGB Precision Colour 100 is the manufacturer’s colour-feature name. Do not interpret a colour-gamut claim as a measured brightness, dimming-zone count or guarantee that every programme reproduces the whole BT.2020 range. Room lighting, source quality and picture settings still matter.

Streaming and everyday connections

Tizen provides the smart-TV interface.
